This year we will be having Christmas at my house again. We have done that for the last few years. It will be just myself, my husband, our two kids and my mother and her boyfriend. I will be cooking ham with all the trimmings, it makes it easier on my family for my mom and family just to come in here instead of us traveling to her place with the kids so she does Thanksgiving at her house. What about you...what are your Christmas plans?

Last Christmas, i watched a movie with my roommates. About this year's plan, firstly, i plan to show a film about christmas for my college students and celebrate it with them in the daytime. In the evening, i will get together with my friends and have a nice time. Wow, i am looking forward to it. Hope every one can have a meaningful and happy christman this year!

A Christmas Carol played by Jim Carey seems can be a good movie to watch on Christmas eve. I always like when Jim Carey be the valliant or bad person ^_6

We always have all our close friends to our house for a huge seafood dinner on Christmas Eve. We tend to eat all night long but the main feast is usually served right around mid night. We drink, we sing, we talk, we feast. It is a wonderful night. I look forward to this night starting on Christmas each year. It has been a wonderful tradition and each year gets better and better...

Christmas seems to have snuck up on me this year and I don’t feel ready for it! (LOL) We did Christmas lunch at our house last year and this year we are doing New Year’s Eve so it is up to my sister or my mum and I don’t think either are keen to do it and are considering going out for lunch but it will be too expensive for us so we’ll have to wait and see. Worst case scenario my husband, our daughter and I will have our own little lunch and that may be not so bad!

I think Christmas seems to sneak up on all of us even when we think we are prepared are we ever really prepared? I have all of my shopping done except for the wrapping and then I still need to get all of my Christmas cards made out and mailed.
I agree that a small intimate things sounds good, my husband, kids and I are going to be with my mom and her boyfriend for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and while I enjoy it there are times when i wish it was just my kids and I. Thanks for your response paula

Well I dont have any plans ,it was pretty much the same as always just play it as it comes.I am hoping though that this christmas finds me somewhere else other than my home which is where I usually am .I hope that for once something exciting happens.Other than that it may be the same boring routine of staying at home and just relaxing or I may go to look for my mother

For us, Christmas has always been a multiple day thing. We will start out by traveling to visit the extended family on Christmas Eve in Cincinnati. That is my mother's godson and wife (and their new baby who will be born next week) and then to my cousin on my father's side of the family where all of the aunts and uncles will be as well as several of my cousins.
On Christmas morning this year will be the first time that we will ever have Santa Claus visit our own house. Then we will open the gifts after the children have woke up. Finally, we will go to both my mother's house to open gifts there and also to my in-law's house to open the gifts up there. A busy couple of days for us.

We used to travel to my sister in laws every year but then as the kids got older it became a bit harder trying to shove all of the presents unfer the tree while the kids waited in the car with their dad...so that past few years we have been having christmas here and it seems to work out much better and you don't have all the questions like how does santa know to bring gifts to our place and aunts place? I enjoy having everyone over anyhow at least for that day...I am glas we don't do a lot of running around like you are doing...i am too lazy for all of that :) Thanks for your response dorannmwin

I'm not sure. I might spend it with my boyfriend, if he's still here. [His mother wants him to go home for a few months again - I've been with him 3 years and have yet to spend a Christmas with him.] I would consider going to my brother's house, but after last year I don't feel that it's worth it. [Last year was horrible, I got one last-minute gift and my gifts were tossed aside because I didn't spend more than 10 dollars on them.] My mom doesn't celebrate the holidays and my dad lives two states away, so I really don't have anywhere to go. It's up in the air right now.

Why can't you tell your boyfriends that you want to spend this Christmas with him even if he does go to his moms why aren't you going? I know he is going for a few months but why can't you go for the holiday? Tell him you want to spend the holidays with him, I said so LOL..
I have a family member that is the same as your brother and because they make more that us our gifts never seem to be good enough...it really bothers me so I tend to avoid them I guess. I hope you can get a place to go before Christmas gets here...happy holidays and thanks for your response ticklemebreathless

we are staying home too..I enjoy being home a lot more than traveling especially in the snow. Besides I think it is a lot easier with the kids to just have family here that way they don't have to worry about taking their toys out and can play with them all day. Staying homes sounds great.....LOL Thanks for your response dawnald

My plans for christmas is to stay home with my family and probabaly with some other guest. We will have a dinner, have some cocktails and exchange gifts. I dont plan to cook, my plan is to eat, eat and eat! Nothing extravagant just quality time with my family. Im hoping to receive my wish gift this christmas, i will be disappointed if i dont. Maybe i should not expect that much, the more i expect the more it dont come true.

LOL eating eating eating sounds just great. I have to cook this year for christmas but I would much rather cook for christmas than thanksgiving especially with small children. I picked out my gifts this year and then my husband gets me a few extras that I don't know about as I do with him so i know that I got what I wanted this year and hopefully you get what you want LOL Happy holidays and thanks for your response stephon

Well, my wife and I will be spending Christmas with my mother-in-law. We like to go some place else but we're expecting our first baby this month so we can't afford to spend Christmas away from home. Maybe when we're three, we'll travel for the holidays..as a complete family. :)

We always go to my sister in law's house for Christmas and we always go to my mom's house for Christmas Eve, that way we get both families in. We usually have dinner and the gift opening at both places. The adults play a present game at my sister in laws as we just give gifts to the kids. At my mom's house it is just my mom and dad, my sister, her husband, and her kids, and me, my husband, kids so there are not a lot of us there.

I am honestly glad that we don't have to travel a bunch of different homes for the holidays, it would start to become to much for me. I like being able to just do it here or just having one other place to go to. My husbands family recently moved out of state so it is just my family that we have to celebrate with so for both thanksgiving and christmas it will be just my mom, her boyfriend, my husband and our kids. Happy holidays and thanks for your response ladym

..My plan for christmas is for my family to get together in a simple party.. I really pray it would materialize considering that members of our family stays in different places.. I just really hope that God would give us the blessings so that we could have enough financial support this coming christmas season.. I plan a very happy yet simple get together.. What is important is, we bond together.. I think this is what makes sense.. spending christmas with loved ones is a meaningful one..

We are doing the same thing this year that we do every year. Christmas morning my husband and I will exchange our gifts, then go to my mom's house to watch my younger siblings open presents and exchange gifts with them. We will have breakfast at my mom's, then shoot over to my husband's parent's house to spend time with his family. Sometimes we have dinner with them, but I'm not sure of the exact plan this year. The day after Christmas we will be going to his aunt's house to see the out of town family and have a nice dinner there. Next year I think things may go differently as I am due with our first child this coming January.

Christmas Eve my husband and I will go over to his cousin's house. We sit around talking about past Christmas's and sing Christmas Carols. It is a lot of fun. Afterwards my husband and I go back home and open one gift each. We then watch a movie and snuggle in bed.
Then on Christmas morning we get up at 8AM and open the rest of our gifts. We watch the cats go into their stockings and take their toys out. It is so much fun watching them open their gifts. I am hoping by next year I will have a child of my own so I can all the great memories that go with Christmas.

It sounds like you and your husband have a fun yet relaxing couple of days. I think it is cute that you have stockings for your cats, we also have a stocking shaped like a bone for our dog...she always sniffs at it on christmas like sh eknows it is hers but I am sure it is because she can smell what is in it LOL...why do you get up so early though, you should get your Christmas sleep while you can because once you have kids they get you up before the sun even comes up LO thanks for your response randylovesdar

Hi froggieslover. Every year, my husband and I spend Christmas in our province. This year, however, we would like to spend the holidays in our home here in the city. This is our chance to rest and relax.
