Yes, mylot is a good site to practice your english. I've noticed a considerable improvement as far as my english composition skill is concerned. When i was just starting, i find it hard sometimes to look for words in my posts. But thanks to mylot. Cheers!

First of all:
"How bad is it? When I have the time, I should log on here more often."
Okay, my major in college is English Education, and do not be afraid to write. If you need any help with writing, there are several people on this website willing to help you, but you have to ask for help.
The thing is to write. No matter how bad it may be. Write. You want to get your ideas across, and you can always go back and correct your writing.
Do you have a dictionary? Do you have a Thesaurus? These items will come in handy. You can also use what is online. Websites such as wikipedia.org can also help you. Reading also helps improve your writing. The more you read, the better your writing will be. Seriously, my writing began to improve once I started reading more. You have to read. Also, if you feel that your ideas or words are redundant, then take out your Thesaurus or your dictionary, and find words that will better express how you feel. You have to practice.
Also, watching television with the captions on or reading books with audio tapes helps out a lot, and this is with any language.
I am learning Spanish right now, and it has not been easy. I still feel as if my Spanish is not "muy bien", but I am working on it.
I do my best to read in Spanish or say something in Spanish every day. I will even ask people to speak to me in Spanish, so that I can get a better understanding of how to speak the language.

Very professional encouragement for teaching writing. Practise is upmost important. I still remember the days when my American teacher forced us to write every day diaries and every week compositions, which did work wonders. Chinese students are more focusing on perfect grammar, but reluctant to improve fluency. We need guidance from native speaking teachers.

It is mostly about ideas. As long as you get your ideas across, that is what matters more than anything. Everything will come once you get the idea.
