I would not recommend buying referrals on a site. Those types of sites tend to change the rules whenever you look profitable, and somehow always make you lose referrals.

I personally get more referrals via forums like this one.It usually comes in the form of a referral link exchange.In that way both parties get incetivisized.It has been my method that yields the best results by far.Another method that I am working on is by using Twitter to get my referral.If you can get a huge following then it will be quite easy.

Well i usually post some article in the site, some tutorial and clue about how to work with the site. Then i write the link in my facebook. But still i don't really get many referral that way. But at least it can give me a few every once in a while. Thanks.

I still believe on article marketing and forum signatures with good header. I use to get good referrals with those. Sometimes people do not like of sending e-mails ---- they may think you as spam if they don't like your mail - you don't what the mail receiver likes.
