Your buddy for nearly ten year, leaving for paris right now for job demand, you are hurt and don't wanna him be off,but it's so important for him and this is a chance once in a blue moon,as friend you must be supportive, what will you say and how do you handle it?

hey lichee..
in our world today, it is rare enough to be given a huge opportunity.. and with that being said i think being supportive is the best farewell gift you can give to you buddy.. family members also leave their family in order to earn and for them to have a better future right? and i think its normal that buddies leave each other as well.. he may be gone at your side but, you are still the best of buds wherever the two of you will go.. you can always communicate via cellphone or at least the internet.. there are various ways of doing so..
with regards to what you're gonna say when he leaves i guess the best that i could come up with is "best of luck to you. you will be missed" it is great when coupled with a hug and dont be ashamed if a tear drops on your eye.. it will simply show your bud how much he really means to you.. :D have a nice day.. i hope that both of you be successful ...

You know,it is very common to meet such occasions. I usually say to my friend,"Wish you good luck." One of my friends in the university, when we would graduate from the university, I said to him, " wish you success in future physics."
