In some areas...do you think being a vegetarian is becoming a trend?

in L.A. and Boulder, i think being a animal loving vegetarian is a trend...something done just to be part of a group

If vegetarianism was something new, I would say yes. But since it has been around for a long itme, no. I believe in certian places like California you will find more people who are vegetarians because they are concerned about their health. In these place people have more options that allows them to choose whatever lifestyle they want.

I agree with that but I don't think just b/c it's been around for a while means it can't be a trend. Vegetarians have certainly been around for a really long time but I think in the last 5 years, it's been growing a lot in acceptance and understanding. A decade ago people thought vegetarians are weak and can't get enough protein but now people are realizing that vegetarians are often healthier than others

I agree that as we understand thing and they become more accepted that people will flock to them. I don't think it is a trend just because so many people are sticking with the lifestyle.
