Getting Prank Call From Facebook Friend

Setting your Privacy in facebook is very important. Although the good way to keep your private data is not to upload any private data at all in facebook. You will never know what other will use when they got your private data.
For example, my friend, which is a girl, put her cell phone number in facebook. At first everything is fine, but after she got a lot of friend, her cell phone start ringing. After she answer it, no one said anything. It happened a lot, some time when she answer it, she hear people moaning and she just turn off the phone.
After that a few of her friend in facebook ( which she actually don't know in real life ) said some thing about why she turn off the phones. After that, she changed her phone number and delete her account in facebook.
Well, do you ever got a problem like that too? A prank call, a spam, or other annoying thing because you put your private data in facebook?

I would definitely hate that too should that happen to me. I think it's best not to put any personal email address or contact info and address. I just put basic stuffs like hometown, and I don't even put my email address there. Because the last time I did that on another social networking site, I got lots of spam emails and it's really irritating. So, to be getting phone calls, I can only imagine how it's like.

Yes, if some one want to know your contact information, they will ask you. Or if you want to give some one your contact information, you could give them via private massage. Putting that in your wall or any un secure way is the same way like attracting maniac to contact you. Thanks.

Yes, it is very scary. it is like being terrored by a seks maniac or her. It terified her until now. She afraid that the person will come to her and met her when she is alone. Anyway, yes, what you do is very right. We should keep our personal data to ourself. Facebook still fun even if we don't put all of our data there. Thanks for responding.

Oh, that's bad experience with Facebook. I guess even though we set to 'private' some of the applications we use will pull our personal information to the extreme. I hate to see my FB wall was flooded with hoax quizzes about me like 'do you find ... is hot' or 'would you go on a date with ...'! I have tried to remove them, but I was unable to do so.

Lord, actually what I meant was the quizzes were not posted by my friends, but this application was using my friends' information as if they were the one who posted the quizzes on my FB wall about me when in fact, they have done nothing.

O really? This is the first time i hear of such apps. Did some one already report this thing in facebook. Since it really are making trick and abusing other private data. The apps should be block. Well thanks for your information about this. Happy my lotting.

Well yes, FB Quiz is really annoying. I hate people who do that all the time. I don't really care about their name in different language, i don't really care if they reach certain level in some game, i think this is very annoying. To be safe, better not to upload any of your personal information. Thanks.

this is troublesome for me. i mean face book has gone international, and you know what that means, more more people and more idiots coming in online and it's not good since you can only see that in other social networking sites, this is really trouble some for me because they require your real info which is very dangerous in public to know. i believe this is one of the scenarios that i am truly afraid of, what if a rapist or a killer get's to have a face book account looking for a target. i think i may have to limit more on my account and change some important information into private setting as well. the ugly monkeys had gone to fb too, oh my.@lordcaocao2025 (4098)

Yes, that's why facebook shouldn't encouraging people to entry many private data. I think, data like address and phone number shouldn't be put in facebook. Also facebook should make all of it's member have a high privacy by default. Some people actually don't know how to make a privacy setting. Thanks.

hello bbxe, any social networking site will do, but surely not face book. if that is the case, then i may have no choice but to leave the site soon if i too get to be victimized by these group of people. i won't sit back and let them fool me and i am afraid too that such information might be used to frame you or simply to just threaten you. i don't like this story with his friend.1 person likes this

Yes, i agree with you. Many will use our private information, it is actually not the fault of facebook, but those who see her private data, she should know the risk before uploading any data to social networking site. She learn the lesson the hard way. Thanks.

yes, they sure are. This kind of people make other suffer with their terror. Some of them maybe actually a really kind fellow in the real world, but since no body know who they are in the internet, they some time do what every they like with out afraid of the consequences.

LOL, If i can found that man whose throwing money than hide their hand, than i will always following him around until he ran out of money. But although there are many bad people in the internet, we actually could found many good people in the internet also. Most forum have a member that are really helpful. And if you think about it you could found many freebies in the internet that actually the creator create with much effort. Thanks.

That kind of people who trowing rock and then hide their hand can easly found in this kind of world. But why people who trowing money and then hide their hand so hard to find? Must be good if we found one... Anyway, can I laught here in mylot? It's not forbid is it? I hardly found someone laught in discussion...it's kinda boring. Not that I took someone discussion lightly.
