That has been considered Dangerous for the Media.
I cannot believe this people, thanks a lot you stupid non-skull,savage and unforgiving money craver crap killers! Philippines has now been considered number two in regards to most dangerous places for the media
.
I cannot believe this, not only that these people where killed but they were other few people that were killed too and buried from the scene next to the recent killed people in van.more than that they included a few media personnel
.
JUSTICE should be given for these poor victims, and WHAT?! for the sake of politics, you are willing to win to just do the direct approach? why is it the bad ones always have tendency of having a longer lives, and vice versa to the good...
I am not surprised if more violence is going to happen. why? this coming 2010 elections is going to automated and those got used to cheating are panicking already
It's easy to condemn, but seeking justice, is a long way to go.

what happened in Maguindanao is just sick.. I can't believe people would do that just to win the elections.. and it's 6 months away! just imagine what could happen when there's only a few weeks before the elections... I agree with you that it is indeed easy for people to condemn what happened.. we may not even know, that those same people who goes on tv condemning the massacre are the same ones who are protecting those who did it..
I do wish that justice will be served, and I'm glad that abs-cbn started a countdown on how many days it would take for the government to do something about it.. It just makes people remember, that there are 50+ people who were killed for some senseless reasons, and they are still waiting for justice to be served.

What will you prefer in here, my friend. Is this about politicians ready to kill and be kill if needed to win the election?
You know, my friend. Do not expect that there is justice to poor victims of political violence in the country. If the current President is dethrone from office I think justice is prevail but now, justice is hard to get...

I don't think those perpetrator brought before the justice of the court. The government disarm of private militia of Ampatuan clan but the government said they are not suspect of the crimes...A terrible announcement of the DOJ secretary how come that those people involve cannot be a suspect since it is clear that they have connection the mass killings? Where if poor people and have no connection to the government will automatically in inquest proceedings?

The media won't wish to visit the Philippines. I feel so sorry for the victims. Sometimes before an election there can be political violence. That sort of thing is unnecessary. Good people can be killed and that is very wrong.
I am very keen on traveling. One day I would love to go island hopping and snorkeling in the Philippines. I will wait until 2011 or 2012. The situation there are the moment sounds dangerous.
I hope safety comes to the Philippines. It doesn't wish to be called the second worse country.

Hi letranknight. Why is the media easily blame the government for killings of media personnels, activists, militants, and others who are critical of the Arroyo administration but when the NPA does hostilities to our fellow Filipinos they are silent. When a mediaman, for example, was killed by a gunman, they even take the words of the militants, activists and other detractors of the government to blame the police and military. Eventhough the evidence is clear that the police did not do it. This is just not fair.
For example the communist NPA burned a trailer truck loaded with bananas for export because of refusal by the driver to pay revolutionary taxes to them.
In Davao, The communist NPA chopped down 800 banana plants when the owner refused to pay revolutionary taxes again resulting in the loss of P4 million and throwing some 300 workers out of jobs.
It has been estimated that the NPA communists has killed more than 1,700 policemen, soldiers and innocent civilians.
Sadly, the media ignored them. I heard also that a prominent radio station is taking side with some of the top NPA leaders. They are just hypocrites. This media people is ignorant of the fact that when you side with the NPA you're like siding with devils because Communist NPA does not believe in God. How can they do good to people whereas they are evil? How can NPA with godless ideals are being befriended by some media people? Let us not be deceived. Let us wake up who are real enemy is.

I just hope that justice will be serve. Majority of the terrorism and savage acts were done in the Mindanao area. Politics and unending war of clans are the root of the stupidity done by those ignorant and selfish basterds. The Philippine government fail in almost all aspect of governing a country. I cannot deny the fact that I was born a Filipino, now I'm starting to feel ashamed of what I am. I certainly hope that there wont come a time where I regret being a Filipino. Power is everything and selfishness overwhelms the leaders of this country. If I were to become to president I would give Mindanao it's freedom but if any terrorist attack happens in Luzon and Visayas I will nuke them to the ends of the Earth![](/Content/images/emotes/lol.gif)

@letranknight: Our judicial system is so slow in prosecuting criminals because of this "due process law." Many criminal cases tend to die in the courts consequently failing to give justice to the victims of crimes. Some perpetrators of r*pe cases tend to escape the law because of so-called "technicality in judicial proceedings ." Our judicial system needs to be reformed or perhaps transformed.

Killing the innocent for personal or political or religious gains is condemnable anywhere and everywhere. Political parties in immature democracies or in nations where people are not aware of their rights and liberties, resort to populist measures to incite people against each other….very sad!
However, can you provide some more details…I’ve not really been keeping up with global issues lately, so how and where did this happen?
No matter what, this is surely going to have serious repercussions in the entire region.

Violence related to politics is not new in the Philippines. But this is the worst thing to happen, and it's not even elections time. The bad part about this is that the alleged mastermind is from PGMA's party, said to be involved in the "cheatings" in the 2004 and 2007 elections (remember FPJ losing in Maguindanao and the 12-0 for Team Unity?).
I just saw a few photos of the bodies being dug up from the shallow graves near the vans of the victims. Just imagine, 40++ people, including women and innocent reporters covering the filing of the COCs being killed -- and for what? Just to ensure someone's win in the 2010 elections?
So many has condemned the killings, but when will the government put a stop to this? When will justice prevail? My other worry is that this issue will get drowned the moment another controversy hits the headlines. It's been done before, so I won't be surprised if there is going to be a cover-up of this issue.
This country has gone to the dogs...

This is one of the the most brutal and horrible killings in this country. Even the media people were not spared! What kind of demons these killers are. I bet they are really demons and not human beings at all! It is very clear who the mastermind is and I will not forgive the law enforcers if the killers and the mastermind will not suffer the stiffest punishment they deserve.![](/Content/images/emotes/angry.gif)

so so sad..for us actually..i mean, we are here, minding our own business, but other people, because of (possibly) politics, pride, and other factors (excuses) that they say, we suffer. Being labeled as 2nd most dangerous country for media and being one of the top corrupt country..hmm..i've got nothing else to say..but God help us. I mean, if we keep on thinking only about ourselves, then nothing will ever happen to our country. Even if we decide to change, unless this will turn out to be a united effort by the whole country, we will remain in this poor poor state. Might actually turn worse if this keeps up. so sad..

This crime just like most of the crimes committed will take forever to be solved. This is most likely to happen because those involved are well known personalities. It's important that everyone most especially the media should not let go of this case until it is resolved otherwise it will just end up in the list of unresolved crimes. I pity those who were killed and those that will be killed because of this incident. I'm sure the families of those who were killed are already making plans on how to get revenge which very typical among Muslims. They will not settle their differences on the courts but on the battlefields. Clan wars have been raging in Mindanao for the longest time, its just sad that innocent lives have to be lost just because of a few who can't settle their differences because of greed.

hey letran..
i feel the same way as you.. those stupid idiots who massacred the media people are just power hungry suckers who would do anything to get to the top.. i guess one of their motives is that those media people know all their underground operations and they are scared that the public will find out about their illegal business.. thats why they killed all the media people.. and i guess they're trying to reach out to the media that if they get in the way of those people they will end up just the same as the people who were killed..
you know what else?? the government ain't doing nothing to resolve this issue!! this is stupid.. coz some politics that have been primary suspects for the murders were very closely related to her excellency GMA.. so yeah i guess the government wont do anything about it because they know that if they do something, they will also be wide open targets to those people..
philippines is suppose to be peaceful if it werent for these people who only think about themselves.. i mourn for those people who lost their loved ones and also i want JUSTICE be given to them..
