If it is urgent, you can reply at once, but in most cases, better focus on your bath and attend to the message when back in room, so that you can take your time to send a proper reply.
People are more and more burdened by the appliance we invent. Indulging in TV, anxiety by messages, addiction to computers, etc. are only a few of them. While enjoy the modern technology, we need to keep good balance to live a leisure life.

It all depends on one's individual habit. I, myself, take any calls or messages at the quickest time I can be available. I always treat each message as an urgent one. I always reply to each one if only to tell the other party that I got his message. Even a simple, "No", "Yes", or "Later" would denote that I got to read their message. I don't want to miss any message or call, so I am carrying my phone even to the bathroom. Time is of the essence, most especially in cases of emergencies.

It is not mandatory to do that, It all depends on the message, if it is a very important message than u can reply. If not u can also reply after coming out of the bathroom
