I personally find it difficult to eat too much on Thanksgiving. I think that if you want to eat more food, especially comfort food around the holidays, when throughout the year you eat a healthy and balanced meal.. I think it is fine to indulge over the holidays. But if you have a tendency to overeat or are already unhealthy I think that you should refrain from overeating during the holidays because your health should be your first priority. What do you think? Do you overeat during the holidays? Why or why not?

I say eat as much as you want. If you are concerned about your health then maybe you should hold back from over eating. However not everyone cares about how healthy or unhealthy they are. Being super fit and healthy isn't always healthy. I have over used the word health and it is starting to look funny to me and loose all meaning.

I used to overeat a little during the holidays when I was young and my mother was still alive and making her great holiday meals. Now I don't overeat during the holidays anymore than the occasional times when I get the snack food munches throughout the year.

Yep.... I always overeat on the holidays. Thanksgiving seems to be all about food. We eat, sit around and talk, snack, sit around some more, then eat again. I think if you don't make it a habit to do every day of the year, a couple or three days won't hurt anything. Moderation in everything... even in diets.
