An unsaid pain

I remember when I joined my college I fell in love with a girland proposed her. She also resiprocated. All the time we used to share our happiness, sorrows. The days were passing smoothly. Smoothly 5 years past as if it was just yesterday. After my graduation I joined an MNC Bank and except on Sundays and holidays I was unable to give her time. But everyday I used to call her and had long telephonic conversation. Somehow an year passed and I got promoted due to my dedication. I was really happy and I approached her for our marriage. But the answer I got from her was really surprising and shocking. She boldly denied. She blamed me that you are unable to give me time so getting married to you is having a boring life. rather you go forward with a girl who can tolerate you and forget me. It was really painful for me to hear. i tried to make her undersatnd that its the beggining of my career so I should be dedicated to my job, but all went into vain. gradually, she started avoiding me and stopped receiving my call. She even changed her number. It was really hurting. I approached her friend for help and they tried but all I got is failure. After couple of months I heard that she has got married. So, what you think love is only giving time, nothing else? Is love not a bonding of two hearts. still, I remeber her with a broken heart.
