Ok, I just got some very disturbing news. I just checked this out, it is really amazing, and read the whole thread. Seems someone is getting sued by Neobux! Hey guys, Neobux will be suiting you if you slander their name. Talk about their referral system, their scheme, etc. Quote Hello. Since your previous illegal actions have not been emended and you still continue to do them, a lawsuit is being prepared against yourself or your legal guardians if you are a minor. Defamation without proofs is a criminal offense and fines can go from $500 USD to $50000 USD or the equivalent in your monetary currency. This does not include all the required legal fees which are yours to pay in addition to the fine. All evidence of everything you wrote will be used against you in a court of law as they are certified by a third-party validation service. Since these are proofs without any degree of doubt, a court of law will only be necessary if you or your legal guardians cannot afford the fine and the state must pay on your behalf. Due to the cooperation of the owners of the service where you've attempted your illegal actions and the help of your ISP, we have all the required data for the lawsuit. This lawsuit will be ready to be sent in approximately 16 days from now and you'll receive an official notification at your address as soon as your local court has received and processed the case. If you have proofs that you've emended your illegal actions before that, let me know as soon as possible because once it's sent it cannot be reversed. You can contact me at "tickets@neobux.com" with the required proof. If doing so, you need to include the following: CASE #2B5F38. Failure to present those evidences in the following days means your total acceptance for the consequences of the lawsuit. *** Do not reply to this email directly as it's being sent from an unmonitored mailbox *** Stephen R. NeoBux Fraud and Legal Department Read it here http://www.earnmoneyspace.com/forum/index.php/topic,35161.0.html Not a referral link! What do you think about it?

It's only legally "slander" if it's false. If it's fact and/or about their own experiences (like with me and losing money when I rented referrals), it's not slander. I, for one, think this is ridiculous. I don't know the extent of what they said but this seems like really bad publicity for the site. Especially since word of mouth is pretty much the only way of recruiting members.

Absolutely! What do they want? Puppet members? They must be out of their minds. Of course every member has got something to say especially on their personal experiences. Well obviously they want money from their members or total control over them. This is really bad for their publicity as you said. Some will like it because this is just another proof that neobux is for real. But many will fear them too! Maybe those who will receive the mail should counter sue neobux and prove what they're saying. This is ridiculous. shadow41

Well, that's really disturbing but I do not slander any website so I need not fear. But it is going to cost a huge money to the user concerned.

Was it really slander? That's odd. Maybe Stephen R. meant libel. What is the person accused of anyway? Did he just express his negative opinions about neobux?

Huh?? Why would neobux do that? I mean aren't we allowed to express or say our thoughts?? I am not gonna comment anything for I don't know the real story behind that issue... So far, I am not having any trouble with neobux...

Everyone has a right to express their feelings, but if it is a direct destruction of company's name i think neobux have the right to file a lawsuit. If will be proven that the accused was only expressing himself and not a direct destruction of the site, the accused can file a lawsuit at them, he/she can file treat, violation on the freedom of expression/right to express people's feelings and a lot more cases can be thrown back to them. Another is that, why would they get the information on the isp? I think they are doing the wrong thing. They have the needed information for that. And besides isp's are forbidden to give any information about their client even if the client violated something unless direct order from the court, cause if they do it, only because of the company's request, they can also be sued by the accused. On the other side, if the accused is proven guilty then he have to face the punishments appropriate for the crime the he/she did.

Well it just depends really what and how bad this is as they do have a right to fight for their Reputation I am a Member there and I have to say I have not had a Problem as such with them, yes the Referrals we buy are not reliable but I guess that is the risk we take It really depends on the Story behind it for me to make a comment it depends how bad the slander is I guess

bluesinjid, Fancy you believing posts from some forum. I am sorry to say this, but I am afraid you are another gullible candidate who has fallen for a spam. I am not going to have 2nd thoughts here. Besides, who's slandering?

HHmmmm Slander?? is verbal, probably Libel is much more suited because it is written. But when a person talks about a site, it will always be a personal opinion and based on experience. When he or she thinks what is legally right, I suppose that people with blog sites are now to be careful to produce pictures or whatsoever to claim that what he says is true. Now, talk about Freedom of Expression.. that is different too. Yes, you can speak what you want to say to your readers but, just make sure you provide strong proofs and evidence to it so that you are not just spilling nonsense or lies and that will make you accountable for libel.

Is the misspelling of "amended" your own or theirs? Personally, while I'd be concerned, I also have to wonder about their grammar; I can't see a law firm misspelling such an easy word.

No, I just quoted what was shown from the message he pasted. I now see it is removed.

Actually, whoever's getting sued must have done something to warrant it. Look at Neobux's TOS: 1.6. Any accusation without proof, intimidation, threat or disrespect against NeoBux and / or NeoBux staff / assistants, here or elsewhere will be seen as disrespectful and may lead to the removal of the privilege of using the Forum, Chat and private messages as well as the permanent suspension of your account, temporary suspension of membership or any other benefits. [b] 1.7. Posting topics or messages that may directly or indirectly be prejudicial to NeoBux, its users, sponsors or service providers will be considered an offense and are strictly prohibited.

whoooow! really?! Gosh.. It's kind of confusing, if we just know how that person represent neobux or on what grounds did he/she commit violation then it i'll be more clear. And if that statement really are from neobux legal department.
