Will mylotters join me in stopping a scam, if it is a scam

Hi everybody, one of my favorite books is Jeffrey Archer's "Not a Penny More and Not a Penny Less", and I love to hit back at people who cheat others. I am not sure CAPTCHA sites are scams. If I called them that, and if they are not, I am at risk of being sued for defamation. But there is this nagging fear that if they do turn out to be scams, my hard earned monies will vanish. I am one of those who chooses to "Do something about it" instead of sitting out there by myself (Julia Roberts - Stepmom). I did write to a couple of sites, and I am sure they ignored me like some stupid person. So I am asking you all to join me in this endeavor. What I suggest is we all warn our banks, and social sites with a standard letter - clearly indicating we are mylotters and we've come across a few CAPTCHA sites, and also some news reports (links), and we think they should review their security measures in the light of these two factors. I am hoping they will find it difficult to ignore so many of such mails. I hope Hatley comes up with a catching title and a nice draft. :) Sorry about that Hatley, but I think it would do everybody some good, and not be bad for mylot's reputation either. :)

Hi Hatley, take your time. A few days delay wont really change the situation that much, would it? :) But do give us a draft - as your English is very good, and you would know how to put them on alert. :) We will all copy, paste, open contact under each bank/social website, and send it across. :) Happy thanksgiving to you, your family, and your "roomies". :)

yup! I am with you to do my bit. but it all depends on the country of origin of the site, rules vary with countries right? still there are sites to whom we can report spam and they will do their bit tohelp us.

Hi malpoa, we cant sue any company we dont really know to be scam! But we can warn our banks and others to reinforce their security measures so that such unscrupulous people dont get away. If a single person writes, the bank may not pay heed, but if more people are warning then it might accidentally get their attention. :)

And malpoa, nice to see you after so long. I've been having problems with my gmail. Received one nice home based job offer. I am sending it to you. Get in touch with them if you feel up to it. :) Thanks for joining the discussion. :)

I have to agree with you.If someone is willing to pay alot of people money to type in words that computers dont reconize, must be making alot of money themselves. and yes it is a security breech,in my opinion.mostly common sense. on board with your idea. sounds like it might help.seeya later bye.

Hello Vandana, this site is still the only site I use so can't help you out with any scamming you're planning my dear. Unusual to find anyone admitting to reading Jeffrey these days though, even though his books about his stay in his happy go lucky prison provided him with extra book fodder.

You must read whom you like my dear - personally I find the little plagurist a jumped up little toad. You must know of my problem with copy and paste my dear so I will just applaud from the sidelines.
