How to tell a friend to give you space without offending?

I have friend that a always want to go with me wherever I go. I believe he enjoys my company a lot But sometimes I don't feel the same. He is my close friend but sometimes I'm irritated by him. I need space and I want to tell him without offending him. Can anyone tell me how to tell him?

hey genzz..
its not that hard.. just try talking to him in a good way.. like example "i just want to go alone.. il just text you" something like that.. so that you can get rid of him.. dont be rude coz maybe it will offend him :)
