Are Our Problems A Punishment From God?

I don't believe so. I think that God doesn't give us what we can't handle. I know from personal experience that I felt that same way about God. I am not a saint or try to pretend to be, but I live life everyday and struggle everyday. I found that prayer and meditation helps. God speaks to us everyday, but we are too busy to listen. If you ask for the desires of your heart, and pay attention to things around you, you will get the answers. I know, because here lately after praying to understand things better, He has been putting bright lights in front of me so-to-speak. Good luck on the understanding. Just pray that you get answers and they will come as long as you have faith!

I think it is more life then God "getting back" at you. I think a lot of problems are our own. And the rest is just life. I do believe He tests us though.

No, of course not. Our God is a loving and merciful God. If we suffer and encounter troubles and problems, that's the consequences of our actions and decisions, it's purely made by us. But sometimes those negative things happened in our lives to give us lessons and to learn something from those troubles. So that by next time we should be cautious and careful with our actions.

When times are good, we just sit back and enjoy the ride. When adversity hits, we have to think,study,plan,analyze and grow in so many ways along the journey. There is some adversity that comes so that others might see. Life is the education of God's children. IT HAS NEVER BEEN ABOUT PUNISHMENT!!!!

No, its not a punishment. It was just a trial given to us to make us more stronger person and more faith in him. He loves us so much and he could not afford to see us to be punish. Trial is like a fire not to burn us but to remind us that the fire that melts the butter is the same fire that hardens the steel.

I think it's not a punishment. It's just a challenge to test how long do we believe in him and in ourselves. God is always with us to overcome the problems we have. We are having problems maybe because we had a mistake. It's just like we have chosen the wrong decision. Just my opinion!
