With Thanksgiving occurring tomorrow I begin to think about what I am thankful for this past year.
I am thankful, I have a roof over my head and food in my refrigerator. I am thankful I have a good job. I am thankful for all the family and friends that I have around me.
I am thankful I live in a free country where I can worship God without fear of arrest or abuse.
Ok Mylotters it is your turn what are your Thankful for

I've never been to the Mountains of South Carolina. Never been to South Carolina, though I'm in the neighboring state of NC.

First off I would be more than happy to take your picture come on over to the mountains of South Carolina and I can take care of that for you.
You know we always forget to say thank you for the Pilgrims if it were not for them coming to this country we would not have all the things we have to be thankful for

Several months ago, absolutely nothing! Back then I was living in a state of depression and doom and gloom! I was always moaning and feeling sad and getting everyone down around me! Things have changed now thankfully and I am grateful for everything in my life, even the many cups of tea that I drink on a daily basis! I guess I'm really getting into the new age concept now! What do I mean? Well, the new age idea is always talking about how we should be grateful for everything in our lives as it's one sure way of attracting more nice things in our lives, I really like this idea! I guess I give thanks like you for the important things in my life! I have a roof over my head, I have clothes to wear and food to eat! Everything else relates to extra blessings in my life! I'm thankful to be alive and breathing the fresh air that I breathe on a daily basis. I'm thankful for the road bike that I have and I enjoy cycling! I will try and remember this discussion when I am next feeling down and at my lowest ebb! Nice discussion. Andrew

I am glad to hear you are no longer depressed and are in a state where you can see the good around you. Half the battle of getting out of depression is seeing all the good around you

Hi JennyMarie, I love counting my blessings and being thankful and although we celebrated Thanksgiving last month here in Canada, I'll be happy to list the things that I'm thankful for right now. I'm thankful that I have a home where I can relax and feel safe and loved. I am thankful that my wife and I both enjoy good health and that our families are healthy. I am thankful for the ability to laugh and to enjoy the laughter of others, especially our grandchildren. I'm a happy person and I'm thankful for that as well. Blessings.

You know you bring up an interesting thought. We shouldn't share what we are thankful for just one day a year. we should be thankful everyday of the year. Every morning that we get up and have breath we should be thankful

I am thankful that my family is safe and free. I thank the American troops everyday for this freedom. Without their sacrifice we would live in a socialist third world country with no rights and no voice. I am thankful that I have a job, have a home and have only minor debt. These things allow me to focus my attention on my family - the center of my world. I am thankful for two wonderful children who are growing into responsible and respected adults. Finally I am thankful for the pure and undying love of my kitty - she doesn't care how much money I make or what my social standing is she just cares that I treat her kindly and love her in return.

My birthday is on Thanksgiving this year so I'm thankful for my life! I have been so blessed with amazing family and friends. This year has been very hard, but it has made me realize all the blessings in my life. Oh, and not having any snow yet in Iowa is definitely something to be thankful for!

I don`t celebrate Thanksgiving. I`m not even sure when it is.
Even so I am grateful for things like having found a really great boyfriend, or for having had the needed strenght to pursue my goals and dreams and now being able to enjoy them.
I`m also thankful for living near the cheapest supermarket in the world. lol

I am thankful for everything. Food, shelter, being free, etc. I'm thankful that there are people to talk to, I'm thankful for family, friends, everything. I couldn't just say I am thankful for a few things, because I would be lying. I'm thankful that we live in a place where we can do and believe what we want.
