Which do you like up your windows.

Hekko JJ, I prefer curtains, they are warmer and make the home seem warmer by also keeping the heat in, blinds are fine and stylish but they are not for me my daughter has them but I feel that they give a cold feel to the room where curtains are always so much cosier..well that is to me//LoLo

My window has a screen to be able to get the mosquito or any other kind of pest, as well as the dust, away from my room. Of course dust is unavoidable but at least the screen catches most of it rather it all goes in my room. That would be very unhealthy. I also have curtains on my windows. That's what I hang on the inside of my windows. It also catches some of the dust particles, but it also prevents rain water coming in, if it has strong winds. Other than those reasons, the curtains look lovely. I have a green one put up and it complements the light bluish color of my room walls.

I am like you I also have blinds I like the idea of letting how much light I want

I have blinds to my windows and no curtains. I have to measure the window to see what type of curtains will fit them. The blinds that I have came with our apartment. They are long blinds that are straight down. I guess it may be horizontical.

I have the long type of blinds and I don't like them they are noisy and hard to deal with.I think curtains are kind of outdated but sometimes when I see them I tend to like some of them.

For me, I'm not a huge fan of blinds, so we don't have a lot of those in our house. We have curtains mostly in our house because to use curtains over your windows, you can either close them for your privacy or you can open them to allow more light into the house. For the windows that do need to have blinds as well as curtains, I prefer the horizontal blinds because I can pull them all the way up to hide them when they are not in use.

I have curtains on all my windows. Some of them have blinds as well. My blinds are fairly basic. I have to agree that vertical blinds are attractive and sensible. I would like some on my side glass door/window. I have some very pretty curtains. The ones in my lounge room are white lace with frills. There is no blind behind them. The curtins in my bedroom are maroon and quite thick so I can keep the morning sun out. There are lace curatins behind the veloar curtains as well. I really love my bathroom and kitchen curtains. Both a flowery and lacy and tie back. Curtains are a real nuisance to wash.

I don't like blinds, they are just dust collectors, and I don't need MORE dust. besides, I mostly leave the windows closed in the front of the house because I don't want the neighbors looking in. The windows in the back yard have no coverings, if the apartments want to look in, what are they going to see? 3 middle aged women messing with the cats...

It just looks nice, at least for me !

We have horizontal blinds (i think you would call it) those curtains on a roll which doesnt allow any light to get in nor out of the window. This is combined with regular curtains which looks nice in the living room compared to the boring blinds.

Some of my windows only have curtains on them. There are a few that have both shades and curtains. My living room now only has shades as the curtain shedding the last time I washed them and I have not brought a new set of curtain for these windows.

Hi JJ, Blinds are nice and trendy but i'll still prefer curtains for my windows. I have difficulty cleaning up the blinds while withthe curtain i can change it on a weekly basis. I have a motif for the week. So whatever color is my curtain is also the color of my refrigerator sheet and hand towel, tabel runner, kitchen curtain and table cloth. The color varies every week than blinds-- kinda boring!

I prefer curtains because my cats have a tendency to play with the cords on the blinds. I am always afraid that the cats may wrap the cord around their neck and get hurt. My cats sit in the window all the time even when the weather is bad. I remember Sunday morning it was snowing and my cat Smiles was looking out the window and saw this white stuff (snow) and then looked back at me as if to say mommy, make it stop.

I like the French window,the kind of windows,the window glass,the best are special,that is,which can be seen from the window outside,but the outside can not see inside,pf course,this is my personal preference of.

I have both Blinds adn curtains. depends on tthe room and in my bedroom I have shutters which I like real well . I like them for I can open as far as aI want to let the light in during the day and shut them at night so no on can look in same with the blinds as for the curtains they stay open for thats the way I like them

hi jugsjugs I like the vertical blinds too but sometimes it would be nice to have draperies and add some color to the room. where I am now I have no say as there are white vertical blinds on the windows. And thats okay it works to keep out glare and give privacy as needed.
