1st, I'd like to say to all my American friends and Family, HAPPY TURKEY DAY! Now to my discussion.... Here in America, we celebrate our for fathers good fortune in landing on an abundant continent, inhabited by gullible innocent peoples, by ingesting HUGE amounts of food, namely Turkey. But we have a prelude to this tryptophanic dyspepsia, it's called Thanksgiving Eve. This and the following evening (black Friday eve)are the biggest drinking fests bar staff have ever beheld. Lots of Christmas presents depend upon this day to be bought & paid for with the tips to those serving tasty beverages and treats. Does your country/area have designated drunk days (Other than St Patrick's day!), or days of extreme over spending on merriment & gifts?

...Hi JodiLynn, Just stopped by to say happy turkey day to you since I am here in the US of A with you. Also to say I hope you are doing well. Lastly to note that you can really turn a phrase when you want to. I find your discussion very interesting and very funny. Hopefully all those ingesting and imbuing will have a designated driver. Take it easy.

yes, but you all have HOCKEY SEASON, that alone suffices for a set of holidays!

So pretty much only days that end in "Y" are drunk days?
