i have come to wonder what people are thinking and what causes them to do certain things or act the way they do. Also, this idea made me wonder what my cat was thinking. she has a favourite type of treat and follows anyone into the kitchen and bugs them til she gets one. i wonder what cats and dogs think about too. i guess i am just curious...have you wondered what your pet was thinking? what about people?

I always wonder what makes people tick. Just part of my thought process. This doesn't mean that I feel I am always right and someone else is wrong but can't always understand others ways of thinking. Our dog is a creature of habit. We pretty much know what he is thinking. According to my husband's work schedule, the dog knows when my husband will be home. For example, on Sat. and Sun. he doesn't wait for my husband to come home and knows those are his two days to go for rides in the car. As soon as it begins to get dark during the week, the dog waits on the steps or by the front door for my husband. He truly is a man's best friend.

I actually was struggling with what people are thinking and then you move on to animals....I can't understand my own species and you expect I'll understand cats?

Hi, cher913! Yes, I have always wondered what goes on in the humans minds. I know that people can have odd ways of thinking. I wonder about this everyday. I wonder what are they thinking as to terms when they are being conniving and ignorant. I will never know. I wished that I could read their minds, then maybe I will learn all that I need to know.

I wonder that too. Sometimes when i have nothing to do. I would look at our aquarium of fish an d enjoy watching the fish gliding in the water. Actually they are five in all and sometimes you can see them talking to each other. I wonder what they say to each other.

Hi Cher. You are really a nice and considerate people to the pets. You pay attention to them. And they can read your love from your eyes. Tell a story of a dog to you, then you will know pet really thinking. My mother inlaw had a dog years before. One day the dog was scolded by my mother inlaw for the reason she has forgotten today. The dog was really sad and seems helpless,he refused to drink and eat all day until my mother inlaw apologized to him. What a pround pet he was. Unfortunately, he was killed by some bad guy. My mother inlaw cried and cried. Pets always need love and care from human. Giving them a touch and warm smile, they will feel happy all day.

I'm afraid if I knew what people were thinking I might very likely shove them in front of an oncoming car. But I do wonder what my dog Sherlock thinks. He is so good at communicating to me what he wants. I think if he could talk he'd be smarter than oh, say 67% of actual, real people.

Hi cher, At least this discussion proves that you are thinking. I feel most people go around chattering to themselves all the time, often complaining about their boss or some person they don't like. Many of course are thinking about their own problems, the fight that they had with their spouse or worrying about their children. I suspect too that much of what many of us are thinking is negative. I agree that it would be interesting to know what our pets are thinking about, they are probably far more intelligent than we think. A couple of years ago I wrote a series of humorous stories about a discussion I was having with my pet cat in which I made contact with his inner spirit. Unfortunately, my cat took sick and had to be put down and I was never able to continue. It was a lot of fun as I really let my imagination run wild. Although I wrote only a few stories, they were published and received a good review. Blessings.

I think what dogs and cats think a lot of of the time is obvious. They want love and they want food and they love treats. Still there is times when I could have read my dogs mind. Especially the last year of her life, I would have liked to have known if she was in pain or if she was happy or sad. People are sometimes hard to read and sometimes easy. We are all basically the same we all basically want the same essential things. But still we are all very different in our own ways and we each have our own ways of thinking about things and dealing with things.

I know what my cat is thinking.."What are you people and that big clumsy dog doing in my house?" She's one of those cats that takes it seriously..she will let you know when she wants to be petted and if her dish is empty she'll swat you on the leg every time you walk by her. I'm pretty sure the dog is just thinking about when he has the house to himself so he can sleep on the couch. Maybe we wouldn't really want to know what they are thinking. They're probably all laughing at us anyway.
