Do McDonald's foods are the same worldwide?

Most of the time I eat at McDonald's, especially during lunch time, and order some of my favorites like spaghetti, McFlurry, McFloat, and Crispy Chicken Fillet. I was just wondering, does McDonald's have the same menu offered and served in different countries?

As far as I know yes they have a standard taste all over the world for that's the only thing that make their business prosper & they are so careful about it they don't want to loose their investment.

No you are kind of correct but wrong. Mcdonalds try to make their burgers tasty by doing different stuff to it in different country. If the country really like spicy foods, they make their hambergers spicy. If the county likes salted food, they make their burgers also salty. Mcdonalds adjust their flavors depending on which country they are in. They also taste completely in some countries that make it taste totally disgusting...

I have never seen a McDonalds that sold spaghetti. I love spaghetti, I wish they did sell it here in the US!

I never heard of it too. I dont think spagettis from mcdonalds wouldnt be that good due to their disgusting oil. It is very fatty and bad for your health. I hate Mcdonalds because it makes you fat and make you unhealthy. If you do not believe me go se the movie Super Size Me.. It is about a man who is going to eat mcdonalds 3 times a day for 1 month (30 days)

No, they are different. We don't have spaghetti on a menu at MickeyD's here in the US. But I understand some McD's do serve pizza and in new england area...lobster sandwiches

Yes. In Japan, Mcdonalds has big mac, mega mac, mega mac teriyaki. There are also 1 dollar specials. There are also mcfurrys. In China, there is spicy chicken which taste like hot pepper. I get sick before I finish it due to the spiciness.

The only difference I noticed was that the meal size was bigger in US than in the Philippines. But the taste of the food they serve is just the same.

Yes, the menues are different in each country. I have a part-time job at Mcdonalds and i have talked about it with a foreign worker. He was from mexico and he said that there were tacos on the menu there.

No they don't. The standards are the same for all countries as far as preparation storing and serving foods are concerned but the food itself is geared to the culture of the country. For instance in Canada there is no spaghetti at McDonalds's. Hamurgers are the biggst sellers, I think. There is also filet of fish and chicken McNuggets, little balls of chicken with different sauces. There are also various salads to be had. I know in India for instance where cows are sacred for Hindus there are no hamburgers in McDonalds that cater to Hindus. There may be some restaurants that cater to Muslims who do eat beef. Someone mentioned Kimchi in Korea. I believe that is one of the favourite foods in Korea. Please do not eat at McDonald's too often. That food is unhealthy and should be eaten as a treat only.

i would say, it always has the basic dairy products like sundae, ice cream cone, pie, chicken, and softdrinks. however, with my travel in Egypt, i noticed here they offer others that are not present in the philippines (my home) and some others offered in the philippines are not present in egypt. for example, i found in egypt a meal which consists of a pita bread filled with a chicken patty prepared in a unique way. on the other hand, in the philippines, they offer burger stake. surprisingly, rice meals are not common in egypt.

I think except for the price, there is really nothing much different with the foods being served by McDonald worldwide. Our office is near Mcdonald and most of the time we have nothing to eat but their food. I've grown so bored of Mcdonald foods already. In the first place, I really could not find their food really special. Their spaghetti sauce is sour, their chicken is covered with so much flour, their Mcfloat does not appeal to me, their chicken fillet is very ordinary, their fries have some astringent aftertaste and oftentimes too salty, all their sandwiches taste like one. Oh is it because I've been just bored with their food or because they are really no good?

As a worldwide business, I think they have all the same names of all the foods they serve. But the recipe on how they do it would be different in each country. Countries who loved spices would have more spices than those countries who loved sweet. They should blend on people's taste and culture too.

From my opinion, McDonald's foods are same for certain type only, because some of the type are main food. However, there are some special type of food offer for each country as different country different culture, so there are few type of foods are not the same. Besides, the taste of some main food also have a bit difference as each country have their own local sauce and cooking skill even the food look the same. That is only my opinion, I don;t know whether you agree or not?

Well this is an interesting topic! And I will be interested to know the answer to this. If McDonald's is a globalized company, then most of the menu should be the same. The only McDonald's that I have been to outside my country(australia) is the McDonald's in the Singapore airport. When I ate there, the meals that were common to both the Aussie Macca's and the Singaporean meals were the Bigmac burger, chicken burger, mcfillet fish burger, Mcflurry chips etc. The different meals here in Sydney that you probably won't find in Singapore, are a Grand Angus meal, crispy chicken burger meal etc. Do you guys also have a Grand Angus meal? I'll describe what it is. Basically it is marketed as a premium meal and is priced at a premium price too. It contains Angus Beef, which is a premium type of Australian Beef which has a distinct and delicious taste. Then there are fried spanish onions, lettuce, mustard mayonnaise and tomato. I have to admit it is quite delicious.

yes it's the same menu but maybe a litle bit different taste. Did you know, some of the McDonald's in Indonesia change their name to Tonyjack's

I don’t think so…apart from some of their signature dishes like burgers and chips, I think they adjust according to local flavours and likings. Like here in India, they have potato fillets and use spices on some of their varieties which suit the Indian palate better. In any case, they have to do so…beef is a strict no-no for many Indians, many of us are strictly vegetarians…so people all over the world have their own likings and disliking and a global giant like McD has to keep that in mind.

Most of what is serve at McDonald's I think is the same but some countries like yours has a little more. Here in the US we do not have spaghetti served in our McDonald's we do have hamburgers, crispy chicken fillet, sometime BBQ ribs, and a new Angus burger which is really good. I think other countries probably have some different things on their menu.

Hello, there. I guess. They have this strict standard that has to be follow(menu). What makes them difference is the size, and quality of the food they serve. As i observe every time i dine in different McDonald outlets the quality is not the same, fries may sometime taste like sweet potatoes, burger are smaller compared to the other outlet, quarter pounder is not really a "quarter pounder" and etc.

Mc donalds changes the menu depending on the country. All have the basic mc Menus, but for example, in Spain there are some potatos called deluxe potatos that aren`t sold in Italy. They have the vertigo potatos instead. Also there are some hamburguers that are only sold in determined countries, like the samurai burguer in Thailand. For me is funny when I travel to go to check the mc Donald`s local specialities.
