Worth it?

I've recently graduated with my degree, and am now beginning my career. Problem? - Besides the normal drama of reality outside the enclosed bubble of education, I'm not sure if my degree was worth the thousands of dollars of debt. I'm talking ThOuSaNDS! As in,almost 2x as much as I currently make in a year. I'm proud of myself for sticking to it and getting my degree, especially since I'm the first in my family. But was it worth it? I'll now be burdened with debt for the next 20 years. To optimize my degree and career potential, I should continue my schooling and get a Master's. I don't know what to do. Should I just work on doing the best I can without more education, or suck it up and dig myself deeper into debt, hoping it will help me get a better career? Any advice?

hi,wall, you recognized the real situation of present world...you have not mentioned in what subject you completed your degree..if it is technical subjects like..Engineering,Medicine..Agriculture..Veterinary..etc..you opt for post graduation, there is a lot of future. If your degree is in normal subjects, you better opt for job, because now a days,we are not getting jobs on which subject we studied..All the best and have a nice time.

Well, you did good in persisting and finishing your degree! My friend told me that just the degree, no matter what it is on, will open a lot of doors for you, even though they may not pertain to the job opportunity you find!
You may have to persevere and work out of your degree, until the opportunity for a job in your career may come along!
At this point I would not go into deeper debt, until I am actually in the field that my degree is in! And then only after you have solidified your position!
Sometimes you have to make huge sacrifices, to obtain the dreams or the goals that you want! You hold the cards in your hand!
