What are your thoughts on internet dating? My friend's mom, who's single, asked us today what we thought about dating online. I couldn't really advise her, other than telling her to be careful. People are not always truthful, especially when you can't see their face. She said that was the point. Dating online gives you an opportunity to be the person you want to be. Not necessarily to lie, but to express yourself truthfully, without some staring at you because you are wearing striped socks w/ flip flops. Do you think you can really meet 'the one' online? What if you meet several people who fit; do you think it's ok to date multiple people online, as long as you don't meet?

Your advice to her is right. She should be really careful because there are a lot or should I say most of them are liars. But she should not lose hope, we'll never know, she could meet the "one" online. I think online dating could be fun for her. But I think she should not give her trust right away and just be really careful.
