A lie that brings smile on your face or a truth that brings tears in your eyes?

No lies will bring smile to ones face unless they are harmless and so I would go for a harmless lie!! We keep telling harmless lies all the time. Complimenting someone's cooking which in fact need not be that good would be one such lie!!!

This is a difficult question shona, because it all depends on how bad the situation is. I would rather tell the truth or not say anything. I would also like to observe the situation and how to say it in the most simplest and gentle manner. But if it's only answering "how do you like my cooking ?" I'd rather lie and say it's delicious ! (LOL). Whether you lie or tell the truth, you must consider the impact afterwards. And what happens if the person finds out that you're lying ? He/she might hold you responsible afterwards. That's worse.

personally i think honesty is always the best medicine even if it hurts.like they say one lie lead to another......now if someone says they have never lied they are lying.its always nice to put a smile on someones face but lying is not the best way to do that because later they find out you lied and then they wont trust you again or you will have to earn their trust again.i just wouldnt take that chance.hugs

just for me ,i want to know the truth even though it's terrible.lie like dream ,maybe you will smile but it's fake.

Hi,shona,as far as it is not harm or it is useful or it makes them happy..we can say lie,but not in serious and intentional cases..but in long term,even though truth is bitter initially,but later it help us. All the best and have a nice time.

If the lie that you love is difficult to choose, sometimes in life it is difficult. A lie that draws a smile, it's difficult. Sometimes in life it is difficult. In your eyes, decide what's wrong. What would you choose?

For me, I dont say lie. But I can break my rule for some ones happiness. In other word I will tell a lie if no one getting injured in any way and some one is getting happiness. "NEHA"
