Just wanted to take time to Wish everyone here a Happy and wonderful Thanksgiving day even if you live in countries that do not Celebrate it. I personlly, have a lot to be Thankful for this yr. and having you here as friends in my life makes it all worth while for sure.
As many of you know we recently sold our Condo and was able to move into a house, so this is a Great thing for sure. My husband and I are also still employed even as we continue to watch so many of our friends around us having to change jobs as well. And even with some of the Health struggles I have had to endure this yr. such as Cataract surgery, things came out great and I have a lot to be Thankful for this as well, especially since I no longer have to wear glasses.
So what are you Thankful for, and what are your plans for today? I have to work 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. since I work as a Dispatcher for a Taxi company, but my husband will be busy at home fixing a nice Turkey dinner for us as well. So no matter how you spend your day, I am wishing you all the Best.
~~TINA~~

Hi there Tina
I read about your new house in a previous topic i have read and i reckon that is a great reason to be thankful for and there is also the fact you still have your jobs and the success of the eye operation, all in all it was a great year for you we might say.
I have to be thankful because i finished college this year without any failed exams in the 3 years i attended. I can also be thankful because i visited another foreign country this year (England for 2 weeks). I can also be grateful for the fact that my parents are both still employed and that i finished (even if i still have things on my mind for buying) my Christmas shopping so early on this year.
Now for what i wish for:
I wish i could celebrate thanksgiving with you guys for once, we don't have this holiday, and i would also be grateful if i would find a part time job that is not crappy (it seams strange to have access only to the jobs i could take during high-school :|).
Take care and hope i didn't bore you to much with this post,
Alex.

Yes, many times we do wish that the Job situation could be better, as I am in the same boat, but many times we do what we got to do. Maybe one day for Thanksgiving you can find yourself here in the US visiting someone so you can Celebrate with us and be Thankful just for being there as well.

I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving, too, even though you have to work. I'm just thankful for life, my family, my church, my friends here on mylot, and my friends on facebook. I'm sure I could think of alot of other things I'm thankful for but it would take a while. We need to be thankful all the time, not just on Thanksgiving. I'm going to have Thanksgiving with my sister, her husband, my niece, my nephew, his wife, and their little boy tomorrow. I'm hoping we will have a good day. Kathy.

My Thanksgiving turned out pretty good. I didn't get a chance to see my nephew, his wife, and little boy because they were several hours late getting there and I had to get home. The food was good and I enjoyed a nice visit with my sister and her daughter (my niece). Kathy.

Happy Thanksgiving, KrauseHome.
California is sunny today, and it does not look like Thanksgiving is going to be great for everyone. I am going to my step-sister's for Thanksgiving, and I am going to see my new great-niece. Yes, I am 24, and I am a great-aunt to a four-year-old great nephew and a two-week-old great-niece.

Hi Tina. Thank you so much for the Thanksgiving wishes. I live in Australia and sadly we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here but as I mentioned to someone else tonight I am still going to make a point of expressing gratitude for all the good things in my life and there are many such as my beautiful daughter and husband. We’ve had our ups and our downs but we’re still here and we’re still together and we are going to remember to give thanks more frequently for all that is good.

it is 7 a.m in the morning and i still can't fall alseep. i woke up at 1 p.m so that might explain why. Or maybe deep down i'm just really excited about seeing my family, hopefully it will be fun! this is the first thanksgiving with out my annoying cousin ihaven't seen her in so long i actually miss her i might not even get to see her during christmas time and this makes me sad. only because my auntie wants to start a new life in a far away state she shouldn't let it affect me and my favorite cousin realationship. i'm really worried....but i do hope every one on mylot has a happy thanksgiving and enjoy the time you have with your family now.

Lacey cooked the turkeys yesterday. My mom is cooking 1 more today. Lacey was coming down with a cold so she figured she had better get the worst of it done early. I am thankful to have my mom with us this year she has had a lot of health issues this year. I also am thankful that I am with Lacey this year. I hope that you have a great thanksgiving dinner.

Though we don't have Thanksgiving day here in China, many friends have sent messages wishing me had a happy day. I'm really thankful for my friends who have shined my life. And just now I phoned my parents and had a happy talk with them.I felt blessed and their tending words gave me courage to face all difficulties I met.And I took time to give them a great thank.
Then I wish in the near future I can get a part time job and do it well.
Love you all.

Well It's been a few days now since Thanksgiving. It was a great day for my husband and I who first went to his side, and then to my side of the family for thanksgiving. I also have a lot to be thankful for, on top of the list though is for my husband. We have a roof over our heads, and I have recently started talking to my father again of which I am thankful. I am also thankful that my husband has a job and that I will be starting my job soon as well.
I am thankful for being able to find a job in this economy, but I am also thankful for mylot and the friendships and money earned here. I hope you had a delicious meal, and though you worked, had a wonderful day!

Well, I'm a bit late on this discussion..But I ended up eating and then going to the casino with my family on Thanksgiving, weirdly enough. What am I thankful for? My health, my friends, my family, having a roof over my head, and so on. Happy (belated) Thanksgiving!
