How can you build trust to someone you just meet in online?

hi srija^^;; it's really hard to know someone in the internet since we cannot see their eyes where they say holds who they are. it's also my first time to have online friends here but so far they are good and can be trusted. i'm not sure ofcourse but i can feel and sense on the way they respond even just through messages on chatting boards or on discussions like this. i think we just need to use our instinct to know more about them

I think there is no difference from your real life to make a friend. just use your normal knowledge to know a person and to see if you can trust him/her or not. in general for online friends it's difficult to meet each other in person so it's difficult to keep a long run relationship. i have a few good friends that i met online. after a few months to me they are no different from my friends in life.
