Maybe you need to read about the mini ice age that happend about 100 years ago. I hate to say it but even Nasa, and Noah have been warning us about what is to happen around 2012. From what they are predicting I would say we are in for some major cold all over, we also are in for power outages. When all of the power grids go what will happen? Do you realize that even Nuclear plants need electric to run? All of the gas stations are run by electric, the stores all have to have electric. So now imagine the fact that it could take up to 2 years to get all of the power grids working again? NASA and Noah would not have given us all a warning 2 years ago had nothing of real importance been found out, Believe me the government doesn't warn people ahead of time if nothing is going to happen. When they tell us something 5 years before it will happen we know someone there knows what they are talking about. We also need to realize then when the Mayans had there last calendar end there also was a small ice age that happened. It happened quickly. They showed proof of that on discovery. So is that what will happen starting on 12,21,2012? Know one really knows, but 2012 is the year that Solar activity will be at its max. This is what causes the mini ice age as well as for the power grids to go out. So maybe you really need to read about Nasa's warning.

I don't think that the world will end in 2012 or many many millennia later, at least not because of misread or miscredited or incorrectly attributed predictions. If it has to end, it will and no power could then be able to stop it. Let's consider some of the reasons that can destroy an entire plannet: A natural and global disaster - a collision with a comet or another large body from space? I don't think so, and eevn if it were, I don't think it will destroy humanity completely. A man made disaster on a global scale - rising of level seas, global warming, global nuclear explosions? Pandemics (that could destroy many forms of life, inlcuding human) Alien Invasions - well????? All these things could happen anyday, of course I am sure that there will be a fair bit of warning things like collisions with objects from space, as well global warning or pollution, rising sea levels would not destroy all humans The latter three are actually the diciest ones - humans have no control over other humans, especially terrorists. As human lifespans grow ever longer, new illnesses due to various human acts coudl be possible. If the aliens ahve to come, do they have to be threatening? If they are can humans and numan tehnological levels do anything to a race that is far advanced than it is?
