Mylot screen names?

How did you choose your mylot screen name? I chose mine because I love frogs. I have over 500 different frog collectible and nic nacs that I have collected over the years. A few weeks of having that name I thought why did I pick that name, it sounds like I am the lover of a frog(like I am married to them) but I soon realized that I was stuck with that name and so I have learned to deal but I often think why other members have the names that they have? So why did you pick you name?

I chose my username because I am proud of my heritage. I chose 'celtic' because I am Irish and 'eagle' because I am part Cherokee. I liked it and use it elsewhere as well. I am thinking of changing it but haven't come up with anything I like as well so I haven't as yet although I did change my avatar to one I think suits me much better. Hope you all enjoy it as well!

I collect frogs. I love the little tree frogs. Not real big on the larger toads and so forth.

My screen name is that of my registered quarter horse - Sleepy Little Rose. It is easy for me to remember since I picked her name out. My only problem is that if we ever sell her then I will have a screen name of someone elses pet. Opps maybe I should have thought about that before. Oh well she will always be my baby no matter where she goes.

Your screen name reminds me of my neices email, hers is sleepysunangel. What is it with people naming their horses such long names? My cousin has a horse that she calls shezashalako and that is also part of her email and I always tell her that she needs to change it because I can't ever remember it. I would say that you could still keep that name even if you were to ever get rid of your horse because in most cases a new owner changes the name of the pet....thanks for your response sleepylittlerose

Actually she will be stuck with that name for life as she is registered with the American Quarter Horse Association. We do not call her by that name though; she goes by the barn name Thumper. She is called Thumper because when she was born she would stand by her mother and pound her back foot like Thumper in the movie Bambi. And the reason we choose such long names for horses is that it is a combination of the dam and sires name. Her moms reistered name was Roseadator and her dad was Mr. Sleepy's Man so when we put it together we came up with Sleepy Little Rose.

My first name is Carol so thought I would be very different and choose my real name..lol Really didn't give it much thought other than I didn't want to use nicknames that I have been labeled with for years. Thought birdlegs was a little childish sounding and a little too visual. Your screen name is cute.

Don comes from Donald therefore Dawn must come from Dawnald. A moment of silliness...

My name on mylot is one of my own names, I didn't have any problems or second thoughts about selecting it as my username, though in other blogs, I have used starreply and a host of other names.

I always keep my screen names close to one another because it takes too much thought to try and remember what name I used for which site...I also try to keep it close to something I like(i.e frogs) or something like you have sone with your own name...thanks for your response tarachand

That's funny. I didn't think you were married to them, but with a username like that I thought you liked real live frogs. LOL
I chose my username, sacmom, because at the time I had been using it on another site and I couldn't think of anything else when I signed up. Had I known I would be here as long as I have I probably would have put a little more thought into it. LOL
I had actually seen someone use the first half of it elsewhere and I liked it (at first) so I took that part and added mom to the end of it. The meaning behind it is rather simple. The first part, sac, is short for Sacramento. I've lived in the area for the majority of my life so I thought it would be quite fitting for me. The second half, mom, is self explanatory as I am a mom. Not only is it simple, but easy to remember too, so I thought it would be the perfect username to use on here...
I later came to find out that some people on here think the first part means something else. Whatever it is, they won't tell me ...at least not after they find out what the real meaning is anyway! LOL
Happy mylotting!

Alright well I must admit that I never would of thought that your name meant that LOL i guess I am among those people that thinks of something else when we see your name. =) I am the same as you when I signed up, I never really put much thought into my screen name because when I signed up I didn't know to much about mylot and wasn't 100% how much my screen name would come into play this much LOL....Thanks for your response sacmom

There's not a whole lot behind mine. Mine is just my middle name, or the nickname for my middle name anyway - and to me, it's a nice way of keeping it personal but not giving out too much information (although some people know my real name here - which is Alyssa). But I like "maezee" because that way the people I don't want to know my real, first name..generally don't.

I like the way you were able to blend the two...I should of thought a bit more about my screen name but even if I had the chance I probably still wouldn't of come up with something that good or unique...thanks for your response maezee

I picked my name because I thought I would have a job as a medical coder by now, but so far that hasn't happened. There have been many times that I wish I could change my screen name, but i can't, and I'm stuck with it. I should have thought a lot harder before putting "coolcoder" down.

I always thought that your name fit with your avatar but I guess not so much now especially since I know that reason behind your screen name.
I have often wished to change mine as well but like you know we can't...I would keep it that way even if you could change because you never know you may still become a coder and then it would fit you LOL...Thanks for your response coolcoder

There is nothing much with my screen names
It is my user id in my email. I tend to use the same user name in almost any sites I signed up with so I wont ever forget it. Lol!
The first word comes with my first name followed by underscore just to separate the word blue, which is my favorite color. 8 refers to the letters of my last name

That is some strategic thinking on your end...I like how you added the number 8 by the number of letters in your last name, very cool! Thanks for your response yan!!

I have noticed that a lot of people seem to choose something that are connected back to their own names. I think that this is probably the best thing way to choose a screen name that way it makes it just a bit easier to remember. Thanks for your response praveenleela

My case is a little similar to you. I am a tea lover, and I really enjoy tasting different kinds of teas. I also liked the book "Alice in wonderland", so it's a mix of both things.

LOL I like how you think...I know of another member that has the screen name aliceinwebland and I think that is also unique. It is neat to find out why people choose their names because all of the ones that have answered so far I was way off from why I thought they chose those names LOL Thanks for your response madteaparty

My best friend also loves frogs and uses the word "froglips" in her email address. We both get a big kick out of it!
My user name here is my name...at least parts of it. I wasn't trying to be creative when I signed up and there are times when something so much better pops into my head. But, I'm stuck with what I have and it ain't so bad.

Hi froggie
I chose my name because I truly love Roses. It doesn't matter what the color is, they are just my favorites. My hubby use to get me one of the artificial ones and bring in to me. I had probably over 2 dozen of them. So when I started needed a username I chose this one and made it a little different too.
Thanks for asking and have a great evening.
Keep smiling.
