Have you ever asked yourself why do you believe in your God?

It is a question which I would like to find a solution to.
When I ask myself why I believe in God, I never find any answer... Have you ever asked yourself the same thing? Do you think humans must have someone more powerful than them in order to feel sure and not to be afraid of life?

this isn't unusual in my religion.
we don't believe relationships with the Gods to be something that happened a long time ago to a small handful of people, but not happening anymore.
spiritual work, such as energy work and meditation, is how we can come to know the Gods first hand.
some of us come to know them in dreams, and others, myself included, have had spontaneous experiences while minding our own business too.
the Gods aren't distant. because deity is the spark that gives us life, we need only look within to know the Gods.

I would like to ask the same questions. How could it be possible? Why are you sure that you have met God?

Hi claudioangione,
I believe in God as God loves me so much. I pray to Him and He answers in different ways in order to let me know what is the right way to live. He takes good care of me even on tiny little things. I feel Him. I treat Him as my Father, so I talk to Him whenever I want to. I sing to Him, too. He is with me and loves me. He loves everyone and all creatures in the world.
I do not feel like to find a God and make myself not to afraid of life. If we live with love and our whole heart, and do know how to care people, we have nothing to be afraid of.
God bless you.
Have a nice day!

But what do you think about the fact that, as a result of what you think, without God we should be afraid of life? He is the only one who can protect ourselves?

Hi claudioangione,
I think even people without a religion, they can live happily and do not have to afraid of life, if they have kind hearts and know how to love and care about people.
To me, "Love" is the most important thing that makes us not afraid of life. It is not a must to have a God in your mind but one must have love to share and received.
Have a nice Sunday!

Hi, claudio.. Before I became saved, I used to ask myself this question a lot. But now that I am saved, I have realized that God is the creator of the entire earth. He is the author, finisher and the Omega until the end. I believe in God because I love him and he is the one that has mercy on mankind. I don't doubt God. He blesses me everyday even when I don't deserve it.

You just said "before i became saved". And what was that moment? What happened in particular that make you feel sure of believing on God?

Before I became saved, I knew that there was a God, but I did not take his belief as seriously as I should have. This was when I was in the world. But now, I truly believe in God. When disaster strikes, I would question if there is really a God. Most of us have at least done this at some point and time in their lives. So, yes, to answer your question, honestly, I have asked myself if there really was a God.

I have asked this question why once, several times. The answers I got are ammensurate to my experience with life. As a kid, I needed God as a parent giving me assurances on allaying my fears on whatever i did not know. As a teenager when some of my fears vanished and some new ones came in He became a wish fulfiller. What I could not control or change I wished should become true to feel that kife is going my way. As a child my wishes did not need God to fulfill them. My parents were sufficient. As a teenages and a youth when I learned of the limitations of my parents I turned to God, for what neither they nor I could control. Then as I moved through life i somehow learned that there was much I could arrange or rearrange for myself. This perhaps was the time I was less botherred about God. Thwn again, theer were situations that made me feel with all the resources at my disposal I was still not able to influence the course of events to my taste. That is when the real enquiry started. Why God? If He cannot change what has to be, then what am I looking up to? That is when I start seeing the world and find that many like me have had their dreams unfulfilled, or some have been worse off. So, Claud this questioning-rejection-acceptance-rejection-reacceptance goes on enriching my Life. On one thing I am certain. I can play this game with God as He does with me His. Neither He is unfazed nor is He angry with me. He answers if I seek, helps me discover if I defy Him. One thing I am never afraid of even temporarily denying Him is that H will not cast me into Hell. At best he may send me back to Earth, with a few more challenges thrown at me, to begin the Game all over again!

hello claudioangione,
Do i believe in GOD? a very big YES! If not for him i'll wont be here. no ones here. He is the source of everything.
Humans MUST believe that there is a divine creator whom all good things come from. We came from HIM and we will return to HIM. His home is our final home.We are always one with him at any point of our lives.
I put my complete trust in him because HE is my God, my source of life and happiness
Times might come when we feel down but i can assure you that God is with us
BELIEVE AND BE NOT AFRAID!

Why "must"? If humans must believe in God and it was our creator, why he let people doubt about his existence? It is a contradiction, isn't it?
These question make me think if he really exists or not!

I think it is not so stupid... If you don't ask yourself this question, I think you aren't able to find an answer neither! Obviously it is just an opinion! Have a nice day.

Actually, no, I've never asked myself this question because I've always believed in God. All you have to do is to look at the world around you. Too many things work in harmony...are dependent upon one another to survive. If there were only a handful, I might question the existance of God but there are too many for life on this earth to be by chance.

REally? And what about imperfections? Bad things? Pain? What do you think about that? I think both armony and pain are human-made...

And you neverasked yourself this question? I mean, there is a moment in which you have stopped, whatever you were doing, and asked yourself why people believe in something... It is quite strange!
