Nowadays, many people take vitamin supplements to take care of their health. My husband and I normally take Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) to strengthen our immune system. This is to protect us against sickness brought by changing weather condition in our country. How about you myLotters, what is you daily vitamin/s? How does it help your health?

I hope you donĀ“t forget Magnesium. We need it to make the calcium work in our body. Also natural vitamin D is important. You can get it from fat fish.. www.gnld.com has all three in one food supplement.

Hi. I buy calcium carbonate for my mother but not for me. You're right, I've also read a lot of articles about the health benefits of taking this vitamin while you're still young.

I live far away in the cold North, near the Arctic Circle, so we need more extra food supplements to keep healthy than in Southern countries with a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables. I am using food supplements from www.gnld.com, and they help to keep my energy level higher and the information they give is excellent. No synthetic products are allowed there, only real food and that makes them so efficient. I have learned how important the good cold pressed oils and fish is for our cells. I take Te-en-en and Salmon oil and vitamins and minerals every day.

Never tried hemp seeds as far as I know, might be good for you. Many seeds have good oils, even some berries if you mix them and get the oils that way. If we know what to eat, we would not need much food supplements, just food with good nutrition. But in some countries there is not enough good quality food available in the shops. The situation is the same even if the so called rich countrie..

Hi Buenavida. You have a point. And even if there are available supplies of high quality food, the prices are too expensive that people could not really afford. That's why sometimes, they would resort to getting the required vitamins and minerals from supplements which oftentimes are less expensive.

Hi Sol, I take Fern-C because I smoke but I have a goal to stop it very soon because I sing and I need good breathing. I take stress tabs too but not too often. Just when I feel tired and needs to have the best sleep ever. :) Cheers! _GElO-

Hi. I used to take Fern-C when I was still working full time. A work colleague supplied the supplement to me. Since I have already resigned from the company, I just buy a generic brand of ascorbic acid now. Stresstabs is not effective for me. My body just flush it out as urine.

Hi. I believe what you are doing is right. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables is still better than any vitamin supplements.

Hi there! I also take Vit C daily. I take double (1000 mg) when I feel I'm about to have a cough or cold, or a sorethroat. It's great for the immune system, it also serves as an antioxidant that's why it helps smoothen the skin, and it's essential for normal metabolism. I also have my Vit E which is mainly antioxidant. My intake of other vitamins and minerals are from foods.

Hi. I also take 1000 mg of vitamin C when I don't feel well. This is because I normally develop allergies with medicines.

Just started taking vitamin C pastilles, which are a lot easier to eat, and a lot yummier than pills.:) my mum bought me a container of 50, and though the recommended dose is 2-3 daily, I think they are so yummy I could eat 10 at a go. heh.

Hi. I agree with you. Any excessive consumption of vitamin supplements, especially if done without doctors' approval, could be harmful to the human body. Having a balanced diet with the right quantity of seafoods, meats, dairy products, fruits and vegetables is still the best source of daily vitamins and minerals. Thanks for responding.

I think that a lot of people take all different kinds of vitamins. For different purposes. Vitamins are good for you especially if you need them. And if you don't get everything in your food, it is a good supplement. I think that a multi vitamin is best and I take this. There are also other various supplements that can be great for a persons health.

Yes, vitamin supplements are one of the many "instants" we have nowadays. This is our way of getting what we could not get from our daily food intake.

Mine is Centrum Complete, complete from A to Zinc. Now, with this chronic MyLotting, I added a new vitamin, which is the vitamin for the eye. It is called Optein, a brand name for Lutein, which can be called "The Vitamin for the Eye". My eyes are getting sored for staring too long at the computer screen MyLotting my friends. Now, my eyes are already sore and aching, I need to support them so I am assured of healthy vision in the years to come. You should try it too fellow MyLotters. :)
