STRESS brings people down to the point of deterioration both mental and physical but there is a way one can dampen the the effect of such life threatening situation, think of what makes you to be in this situation, dig the root of your stress, ask yourself what made you or something gave you the problem.point out those very serious ones like arranging the very most to the least, relax your mind and take away the negative thinking about what made your stress out.our attitudes towards a negative mindset makes us stressful thats around us in our homes, work, family and friends even in church.we are the ones who choose to be in a stressful state,no one is to be blamed but our self God gave you the right to choose ask him for wisdom then solutions come to your stressful mind set.God is the way the truth and the life.will our stress add a day to our lives,of course not,it brings pain and suffering resulting to illnesses in our bodies, deteriorates us slowly, eating our bodies nutrients from the foods we take in.stop the way you think about the negative thinking and be positive towards your out look in life, think about God and the good things He has made around us how beautiful the world is and what he gave us all.

I agree. A lot of the effects of stress have to do with how you approach the situations that you face. Removing some of the situations that cause stress reduces the stress of course. But approaching what you encounter in a different way, a different frame of mind, makes a big difference.

Instead of being pessimist, we can choose to be an optimist person. Choose to be happy of what we are and not what we have not been. Even a millionaire has a stress of their own. Everybody can be perfect being what they are today. However, if you choose to be different it is up to you to be what you dream of. Remember God as your guidance.

When I was a fresh graduate, I craved for challenging jobs so I hop from one company to another where I can I find satisfaction. I finally found one that gave me all the challenges that I wanted. Fast paced work environment, subordinates that got into my nerves and boss that never sleep who demanded you do the same. Until I got so stressed that I realized it was too much. Stress made me look older and feel grumpy most of the time. It made me eat as I did not have any outlet due to the long working hours. I was so stressed that everyday I was ill-tempered. I wanted to resign and find another job where I can have a nicer boss, nicer working environment. Then I have encountered an inspiring quote that says "Being happy and successful is not doing what you like but liking what you do". Then I had a paradigm shift, not instantly of course. If stress kills me, then I should not mind the stressful "forces". Since I cannot ignore my irritating boss, I just look at her funny face when she is fuming with anger and focused on that than to the hurtful things she says. My stress did not go down instantly, but at least I find happiness in what I do.

You are right about that, stress really has a bad effect on us people. You are also right, that people have a freewill to choose whether to be stress of not, but... That also what makes us human's, sometimes it is very hard to say bad very hard to do, specially if the stress is about the family. Think of it this way, we are only humans and we committed mistakes and that makes us a better person at the end. You are right stress should not be tolerated but it is really hard to think positive by our own, still best to ask for God's guidance with a help from our friends or family members. This people can help us remove our stress and there are so many things to do just to remove our stress. Stress can even kill a people, we cannot avoid stress but we can avoid the probability of dying or being sick to it, by confronting our own stress, we can confront them by so many ways, the only problems is that people do not know how to properly use their freewill and decide properly for their selves, i hope all people are like you, thinking that positive, but we are humans and this is world and this is reality. No one is perfect and humans and different from each other, even sometimes physically different from each other. But you are right we need to get over and be positive let us face stress cause we cannot avoid them, and think of the good things that God gave us. Cheers!

Amen to that! I used to be a stress case... to the point of where I gave myself a stomach ulcer because I was so worried and frustrated. But I discovered that stress does no good. I have so much to live for. Although my path may not seem clear to me right now, I know that God is going to guide me and show me the way. In Proverbs, we are told that if we ask for wisdom and understanding, then it will be given to us. I know that if I start out my day on the right foot, then no matter what happens, I'll know that everything is going to be ok because God is in control.
