What kind of student were you? How did it affect your personality?

What kind of student am I?
I just saw this question in a bulletin board early this morning and started thinking about my past, time traveling once again lol. Well, I am a type of student who always get punished, bullied, mistreated and always like to play. I listen, I study, I have good grades later on but I think, I got traumatized by the mistreatment of teachers and bullying of my fellow students that made me who I am now and, when it comes to trauma, I know you may find it ironic, I am very thankful for it on how it shaped me during the years. I started to be different, I took up the guitar while the kids in my school learn how to dance. I became a musician, an artist. My personality now, to give you an example. If you guys go to a salon or a barber shop, you have that someone who only touches your hair and nobody else. If I see who's the famous barber, I'll go for the lesser ones. Like being an opposition to norms, being a non-conformist, going against the flow.
I've grown a lot, I learned that by being against the flow, some people may not understand your ways, I just do it when I see that it is applicable to the situation. We are not created to live alone in this world.

Hi. I was a very shy type of student. I did not participate much in any school activities/discussions unless of course we were required to do so. I did not have the chance to be involved in any sports activities as I was so weak and sickly. Because of that, I had so much time to study my lessons inside the classroom. My love for my studies started to bear fruits when I was given a college scholarship in Manila. Again, having good grades in college and board exam were my vehicles to land a good job in one of the big firms in Makati.
When I was already working, I just shifted my love for studies to passion for research and continuous on-the-job learning developments.

that's nice Sol, I begin to see a lot of the worlds from people who participates here in myLot. I'm enjoying reading replies from people and newly found friends over the internet. Just like you, yeah I am also a shy student because I gained weight as a child and kids always tease me for being fat. I'm shy to run or participate in any Physical Education activities. I can still remember things as if it was just yesterday. :)
Thank you for your reply. Please do check my other posts :)
God Bless

I guess we had almost the same experience. My classmates used to bully me because I was so thin, weak and sickly. They called me "walking stick" or something. Most of the time, they didn't invite me to play with them because they think that I wasn't physically fit to help them win the games. Somehow, it was fun remembering those memories. Thanks and I will also visit your other discussions.

I was well liked in school both by my teachers and peers, average in studies, good in acting and bold as I was the one who went forward to ask if we could get a free period, etc.

Thanks for your reply allknowing. You must be a very nice student and I believe that you are a nice person too. People who are good in acting have a lot of self confidence that leads to their success. :)
Cheers!
