What would be the most important lesson of life you will tell a person?

There are lot of lessons one could encounter in his/her entire life, if someone would ask you what's the most important lesson a person should learn about life, what would it be?
For me it would be this : "You, and you alone knows your inner self, no matter what others say!"

hi,friend,I used to say openly to any person when situation comes...If you don't have money,your wife and children also won't give respect..means how important it is.may be you are so good..helping nature..intelligent..society will not bother all these things..so be care in lie..like that i tell...

Treat everyone as you wish to be treated, behave as you want to see others behave towards you, donate to charity, donate to strangers, be loving and caring, but be strong and hold your head up high. Never compromise your morals, but never force them on others.........
