Because of the complaints from copyright holders and to avoid huge penalty, the largest torrent site on the internet, mininova, has deleted all torrent files.
Now you can find there only those that were uploaded through its content distribution service. Means they are 100% legal now.
RIP mininova:(

It's not like they were only one. They were sure in top 3 but not the best IMO

Hi!!
After seeing your discussion I went to the site and its really sad that they have deleted all the torrents.I mostly used Mininova for downloading new movie torrents and softwares but now I think its time to move on to some other torrent site.As you said the site will provide only legal copyright content and won't allow piracy. Its sad news for many Mininova users but now we can't do much about it.

So there is nothing more of mininova, it almost happened to thepiratebay.org, i think that it is a delicate subject to be discuss, people want they money, and internet is offering ways to us to don't pay for what we use, sometimes i fell sad for downloading the iron maiden discography, but what i should do? i really like then, and when they come to brazil I always buy the tickets. There is nothing on my pc thats is original hahaha...
But those kind of sites will last some more time until they all be like mininova!
so enjoy will we can!

It's really sad (kind of) to see mininova deletes all their torrent files, though I do prefer to use thepiratebay for downloading. There has been news that the founders of thepiratebay are said to have landed in jail and fined, with all their trackers taken down. I do find this odd, however, because I can still download from them till this very day. To say that the news is a hoax... is not likely, as there are lots of articles published in the Net and magazines (I read the news in PCGamer UK a few months back) and people has been talking about it all over forums and blogs. But it seems that mininova doesn't share the same fate as thepiratebay, too bad. :(
