Do you ? I feel ...so many person are here who doesn't do it ... even some person care about getting responses as many as they can ...but don't comment also as their work has bee completed after starting the discussion .... Please .... comment and rate others ...who are responding you ... It will encourage those persons who are responding you and they will do it in future .. it helps to increase the level also .... Thanks :)

I have two rules that I follow at mylot. First of all for all the responses that I get, I rate them. Secondly, for any of the responses that are decent and more than 1 or two lines, I usually respond back. Some people follow up and I continue the discussion with them. Similarly, when I rate, I give weightage to the followup on the discussions by these people. Cheers! Ram

Hi Since. I always comment back to people, when I start discussion. And I always rate responses, not matter if this my discussion, or another... I rate answers on every discussions which I read. First, when I was an newbie here I started some discussions and I didn't comment back to all answers and a friend told me better to comment back, because discussion means not only to ask peoples for something and when you get your answers its not good to leave this discussion just like that. I already know that comment back is recommended.

Yes , I am agree with your mentor , who ever said you that ... discussion means to take a part in that ...not just asking a question .... and rating is also a part of all these things here ...as you only know who is really keeping the topic while writing some thing.... Thanks :)

of course i do rate people's discussion. i do this because i care. i always rate a discussion before i respond it. i believe it will come back to my own discussion. if i rate i will be rated as well. actually i don't quite understand the impact of rating people discussion.

i don't think so. since we never know whether our topics or response has been rate or not. we can only know if our response has been picked as the best response. i don't know may be you the answer that you can know every time people rate your discussion.

Hi, sincere. Yes, I rate all of the time. This also helps me to know what discussion that I have already responded to, if I happen to forget. I like rating people on their discussions. I appreciate them creating a discussion that is very interesting. I don't think that others rate me or I think they may just minus me. I have been a red star for almost 9 months.. It has not changed to a blue star. I wished that others would rate me a plus if they feel that I have done a good enough job posting. And if they don't, I will still enjoy myLot like never before!

Hi, there! Yes, I do utilize the 'rating' buttons. If I find the answers are really constructive to the discussion that is being discussed, then I will rate it positively. A discussion means that there is an interaction between two people or many, so, I will also comment back to the responses I receive. Even though these some people you mentioned have received many responses to their discussions, but if they don't comment back, it's pointless of why the discussion is being created and they won't get any incentives from that discussion.

Every response to my discussions will be sent to my email box so that i can make sure to rate them since i'll check my email box everyday. As for comments,i'll give if there's time. But i should say not every response i have words to comment and it's sometimes a headache for me to have to figure out something to say...

Yea ...some times there is no need to comment on responses .... but when ever its necessary ...then we should do it ... for that we should go through the matter which some body has sent for the discussion .... Thanks :)

I respond to discussions and then move up the previous answers, raiting them as I go.

I always rate people's discussions positive. First, they can have a good reputation because of it. Second, I will also know which discussions I have responded because I have already marked it positive. I love China

I do. I always rate to people who respond to me, and I will rate those conversations that I think are good, or bad. If I think they are neither, I just leave it blank and will not rate it, since there is no middle ground.

Quite frankly, most of the time I don't rate whenever I respond to a discussion. It has to be either a really good discussion or a really good answer for me to rate someone. I don't like just throwing ratings around; it defeats the purpose, in my opinion.

Well, its not like that ....you should rate other quality of posting and their discussion as they expect from you ... every body spend some time to respond you ..or start some discussion ....so its obvious ....that they expect ...isn't it ? Thanks ...

Yes I do rate. I rate all discussions I respond to, even the ones I start. I feel that if they are going to take the time to respond then I am going to rate them. It isn't anymore than right. I suusally rate everyone positive. The ones that put referral links in the discussion area, I will rate negative, as they shouldn't do that and they don't deserve a positive as they are doing what they shouldn't be doing. I feel that rating will help each other out, even though there are some that will rate others negative just because they disagree with them. They shouldn't do that, but it happens. I will continue to rate others. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

well, i also rate negative some time when i feel that quality is not good to be considered ... some times persons just write a line and go away .... i ask to those person ...why you write even one line ....if you not having any material to say .... some times person don't behave in good manner also ....that can also be the reason to rate negative .... thanks :)

Hi. I like your discussion post. It reminds all of us to become more responsible myLotters. I give feedback to all respondents in my posts. That is my way of appreciating their efforts to read and understand my posts.
