There are free hand artists who do "paint-over's." Some free hand artists sometimes use a photograph of a nude human. This process can be described as the free hand artist: Laying paper down, placing carbon paper on top, laying the actual subject's photo over the carbon, tracing the lines of the human form. The above process is done instead of a free hand sketching and drawing of the nude human. Next in the process is free hand coloring in and shadings.
