What do you think of this movie? I know it's just a kids movie persay. But if you pay attention to what the story is about it is very touching. As there are subtle hints given about the events that occured in the life of the couple & the new adventure he goes on. I think it's got alot more meaning than most cartoons do. Would you agree? Here's the movie trailer wich kinda gives you an idea of what it's about if you have not seen it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USpI6Jzl3No

This is the BEST Disney I have watched so far. Great storyline, interesting characters, and it makes me remember my Grandma.... That I cried a lot watching the movie when Carl remembers Ellie... A GREAT movie with a GREAT Value to learn for youngsters and oldsters alike.

Absolutly one of best segments of the movie. It also should remind people that just because they are "old" doesn't mean anything. And you know if they would of left him be and not messed with his mailbox ect he wouldn't of knocked that construction worker with his cane. Not that it was right but when push comes to shove and someone is taking something you worked so hard for and is sentimental to you like your home or something made by a loved one can bring out an impulsive bit of anger.

My 22 year old son saw it and he says it's fantastic. He's a strange one--he loves football and cage fighting and seeing stuff blow up in the movies, lots of action but he's a sucker for movies like UP, Ice Age and other animation. I hope to see it when it comes to television or maybe I'll rent it when he visits me in January.

We rented it out of RedBox. So if wanted to see it at a reasonable cost you could do it that way. That's what we did it's $1 / day + your local sales tax so for us it is $1.05 to rent for the day. I think we watched it 4-5x in a 24hr time frame!

It was really touching, the film is funny but it got a "heart". It's a very nice film, not a typical funny cartoon. I saw the movie with my niece and we both love it. I wanna see it again on dvd, maybe i'll get it on christmas...hope by then, it'll have a dvd version already. Happy Lotting!

It was an AWESOMEEE movie. I mean its one of the best movies of the year(perhaps of the decade and no! im not exaggerating). The moview was very touching and very fun as well. For me its not a kid movie, it was more than that. I heard the director or producer(or someone related to the movie anyway) aspire Up to get nominated to the Best movie on the Oscar (note: not best animated movie oscar but best movie oscar instead). In my opinion Up deserves to win the next best movie Oscar, but hey that is just me, someone may disagree with me.

Hi. I watched this movie several months ago. So I could not really remember the "sad" beginning of the movie mentioned by most of the respondents here. But yeah, I enjoyed the movie - all it's characters and story line. It made us realize that if we have the proper attitude and strong determination to succeed, nothing could hinder [not even age] us achieving our dreams.

I really enjoyed watching this movie. I was caught offguard at the start because it was sad, which I'm not used to in Disney movies. I loved all the characters though and the storyline. I think that this movie can touch people of all ages and backgrounds. There was definitely more meaning and emotion put into the movie, which is why it was so great.

I can see how one might think the movie was touching but I was not a fan.

i reallyyyyyyyy liked the animation of the kid, the way he expressed the feelings and his character too, the only advantage of the animation films is the expression of the inner feelings......do anyone agreee......

I really liked this movie allot. Disney's Pixar studio are really making quality children movies that adults can appreciate. I have to agree with you that it has way more meaning then most animated movies. This movie had a great story.

I agree if Disney Pixar made it... it's almost always a WINNER for our family! Shoot we still love Nemo & need to buy another disk but of course since Disney has their nose in it the movie is about $20 even being several years old now. Darn their price gouging!

I found the movie very touching. The beginning of it made me very sad, but I liked it a lot in the end. Kids movies sometimes have a deeper meaning, so we adults can enjoy them too :), like being able to pursue your dreams even if it's a little too late.

I loved Up. Pixar's movies are always really good- they're funny and heartfelt. I think Pixar movies are more adult-friendly than a lotof other animated movies; they always involve a life message that a lot of little kids won't get right away.

I think it is such a beautiful movie . It teaches us that we can be friends with anybody of any age if we open our hearts to them. Such was the friendship of the old man and the kid in this movie. It also teaches us to be softhearted to older people because sometimes life is lonely for them especially if they don't have relatives to take care of them.
