how do you legally change your signature?

Hi all, When I went to get my drivers license, I was more interested in passing my test and didn't bother too much about what my signature would look like on my license. And foolishly I just wrote my name in running writing and now that signature is on my drivers license permanently as my legal signature. So my question to you is how do I go about changing my signature? It sounds ridiculous I know, but whenever I go to the bank or I need to sign anything at uni I have to sign my boring signature and they look at my drivers license as proof. I want a signature that is sophisticated and cool. Too bad I realize that now. So how do I change it?

You can go to your local motor vehicle administration office and get a new license. It might cost you a few bucks but, if it's bothering you that much, it's worth it. You might have to update your signature with the bank, too, if you signed a signature card when you opened your account.

thanks. do you have a credit card though? Won't the bank get suspicious if your signature is different when you sign credit card slips?

There's not a legal proccess to change your signature. I don't know if in your contry citizens need to carry a country citizen ID or not. If that's the case, the next time you renew your ID, sign in a different way. I did so to change my signature and I had no problem.
