Or how about, "NAAWP", or the "white national caucus" in congress, or what about a "white history month". Or the "united white college fund" I have long said racism seems to very much be a one way street. There has always seemed to be a serious double standard where it is concerned.

In what part of the world do they have this BET? I don´t have to tell anyone that I´m a woman: it shows. And I am concious of my genre when I write because men do write generally (not always) about different things. With races it is about the same, I imagine. And I´m very glad that as my forefathers came to South America, they mixed with other races. This apartheid, even in TV sounds awful.
I wonder when the day will come that we can admire each other as human beingsUnfortunatly, I will not see it. I´s easy to have man walking in Mars than to have them behave like brothers.
Take care.

I am a white woman and I have a bi-racial son. His father is black. His black father even says, "I'm not African American, I'm from USA".
Anyway, I'm here to tell you that racisism is still very much alive and working.
My son is a teenagers and has not been able to date several white girls because their daddies said No black boys are coming here. Mind you my son is an honoroll student, an athlete, and very respectful of females, but based on his skin color, these young ladies are missing out on a potentially very positive experience in dating a nice young man.
These predjudice white people are the same ones who spend billions of dollars every year (in tanning beds) trying to get brown!!
Oxy-moron!
To answer this question.... Yes, I think they would get offended. Everything offends everyone anymore.
Prayer/God offends atheist. Color offends people. So many offenses running rampid.
It all makes me sick.

I definitely see what you're saying. Why is there a channel specifically dedicated to Black Entertainment? I don't know. I mean blacks are still considered a minority, I guess, and if you look at other TV channels and shows you don't really see a whole lot of racial diversity. So maybe that's why... I don't see why it would really piss people off, though, but I liked your comment about having UET. Why does color have to matter so much? You would think that after everything else we've accomplished color wouldn't really be a factor at all anymore. Ah to dream...
