If God is so forgiving then why create a Hell?

I have always believed in God, and as a boy have always followed the teachings of the Bible, but the older I became the more I questioned some of the things the Bible has put out. Througout the entire Bible Jesus forgives many many people that lived horrible lives. My question is why or how can a God that is so forgiving create a place that is so bad and cast you into it for eternity. I mean wow to think of burning and burning and burning forever and ever, just because we are not the way he wants us...

What makes you think God created Hell? Does it say that in your bible, or did you hear that at Church?
This is a favorite religious fallacy which has been part of Christian teachings for 1500 years. The reason being- the Fear factor is necessary to scare believers into filling coffers of the Church. Fear of hellfire and brimstone has made the Christian Church the Richest and most Powerful business the world has ever seen.
Yes its the Greatest Scam ever perpetrated on the human race,and it has completely blocked out the true God Who is a God of Absolute love whose Love is Unconditional!

So, youre telling me you believe in God, but yet you dont think hell is real.. I think most people believe in God because of the Bible, I wasnt around when jesus was around so all I have is my faith and the Bible, so tell me where are you getting your facts? Another thing 1500 years, do you truly believe that? come up with some evidence of your opionions and Ill be a little more opened minded. Untill then this comment is a negitve ghost rider.

hot topic to pick. god did not create Hell. Hell is the place of being outside the presence of God. God gave us freewill so we could chose to love him. but just like us, if someone chooses not to love you and in fact hate you, would you want them around you for the rest of eternity?
