Zoos should be closed?

I don’t believe zoos should be closed because as others have mentioned they assist in preserving species that would otherwise become extinct. All zoos nowadays have very adequate enclosures for each type of animal so I don’t think there is cruelty involved. Animals that are in cages are given enough exercise time everyday. I think it would be a very sad world if we no longer had zoos which are also an education for our kids. It is not a case of animals being made to perform or anything like that anymore.

Of course not. A good zoo is meant to preserve animals. Many species no longer live in the wild. Without the zoos they'd have been wiped out. Zoos are also used to educate society about the animals so we're less likely to go about wiping out even more.
Only a brainwashed fool would believe zoos were useless. True there are some that aren't being properly run but those are the exception & their owners should be punished.
