Well my family has always been the one that had our mom making us home-made food. She would chop all the vegetables n make the soup and bake the chicken with all the seasonings. We rarely ever use canned food, except when I don't have much time or there isn't anything at the moment and I am hungry. I remember I had a friend come over who was completely raised on canned soups and take out food. So my mom happened to be making tomato soup that day, the one with carrots and vegetables and noodles. And she was excited, but then when she saw it she asked "what is this?" I guess she was used to campbell's plain soup. I have another friend now who also only eats at KFC or mcdonalds. So what does ur family eat? Home-made food or Take out?

My family always prefers home made food to canned food or fast food. In fact, we do not consume canned food at all. We do eat fast food, but only when we go out. So generally we prefer to have home made food either cooked by my wife or by my mom. Cheers! Ram

That's good. I think too many americans are unhealthy because of the canned or fast food. because the truth is when u make it on your own you control all of the ingredients. When u usually even go to a nicer restaurant you can't control what they put in there and how much. So generally home made food is healthier. We use cans like I said. Occassionally sometimes we use progresso soup if my moms in a hurry or is tired that day. We try to make it work as best as we can. :)

Besides having fresh vegetables cooked hot is always healthier than any of the canned vegetables kept for ages!! Cheers! Ram

We eat some fast food and canned food. Sometimes I even cook from scratch it all depends on what I decide to fix for dinner. It is a lot easier to open a can of food and takes less time to fix so if I just do not want to cook I will open up a can of something and heat it up for our dinner.

Yes I understand. Sometimes you just don't have the time to cook a whole meal.

We do both. I cook meals on my nights off from work. On the nights that I do work, I leave things at home that are easy for my daughter to cook herself. Sometimes they are meals that she can just heat in the microwave and other times it is quick foods. Put it this way....we don't rely on fast foods. Campbells soups and things like that are quick lunches as a rule in our house. McDonalds, KFC and things like that are something we do on occasion...not a normal part of our diet at all.

My mother is a typical housewife, she always prepares everything for us. My dad is a doctor, he thinks the fast food is not healthy. As a result, my famliy eat home-made food everyday. My mom is good at cooking and we also enjoyed the tasty dishes. In that way, perhaps we are lucky enough to enjoy the wonderful dishes.

My family usually eats homemade food, but sometimes frozen meals too. When I lived with my family I would prepare food from scratch, and when I began living by myself I did too, but since I found out that I can buy super cheap frozen meals where I live, I got lazy and don't prepare home-made food anymore.

George and I do about half and half. When we go out sometimes we will stop and get something. Well he mainly does it for me. But, we also shop once a week to get raw meats and some canned veggies, and other goodies to cook a home-made meal. So some of the food is 'instant' but it doesn't make it any less good. I actually have to stand over the stove and actually cook it to eat it. Though George complains he can't... but that'd be gooing off topic. As a rule we try to eat helthy food, but every once and a while we'll grab a bite to go. This of course is only when we're out of the hose.... and I have to eat to keep my blood sugar stable. If I didn't have to do that then we wouldn't probably stop.

haha well that's guys for ya. ;P Yes, I know, we mostly have home made food. But whenever we go on trips somewhere we usually stop at a fast food place. It's okay, yea you need to eat especially with low blood sugar. I sometimes take granola bars or an apple or something with me if we go on trips or im on the run n dont have time to eat.

When my kids were growing up I was a stay at home mom and I made a lot of things from scratch but not everything. Now that they're grown and on their own it's just my husband and me so we do take advantage of premade frozen entrees and fast food more now. When we do cook it's usually something easy and quick because we're also running a business that takes up a lot of our time.

We eat home-made food and I prefare that to take out, it is a far more healthier. I cannot let my children eat take out all the time because it is not good for thier health and wellbeing and my mother did not bring me up that way.

Hi wigima In my house, the maid does the food, so its home-made food always. There were periods of time were in my house we didnt have a maid. On that times my mom was the one who cooked(sometimes even my sisters). Although we do have some stuff that are canned food (like beans, or sweet corn). So yeah in my house its all about home-made food. By the way your friend who always eats at KFC or mcdonalds should do something about it. Its not the healthiest thing to eat, and even worse if its everyday. Fast food is junk food, its just bad for our organism. Fast food should be eaten maximum once a week(or better once a month). See ya and take care.

Im prefer homemade food. My hubby love to eat homemade food as well. Then, I would cook after work. If really no time or too busy then we will consider to eat outside.

our family tends to prefer a mix of fast food and home made. due to being a poorer family we can't always afford to eat out, so it seems like a special treat when we do. aside from theat i cook almost every other night, normally all but five days in a month.

My family eats homecooked food yet sometimes we go out to eat fast food but only every so often. We use canned food as part of our ingredients for the dishes that we make but other than that, we don't really eat canned food, except for my brother who's extremely picky when it comes to food. He likes chicken noodle soup and some other types but for the most part, we eat more homecooked meals more than anything.

It varied a lot actually. when the kids were growing up and still at home, we would fix large meals and often would be homemade because it was actually a lot cheaper than stuff out of a can or box, tasted a lot better and we knew exactly what was going in it. This was important as my youngest daughter is diabetic. Ocaisionaly howver, with everyones busy schedual as the kids got older, it was sometimes just easier to toss a frozen something in the microwave or open a couple cans. Now adays it is just me and my youngest daughter at home and she is in college and works full time so she is almost never home. She pretty much fends for her own meals because of her odd schedual. It is generaly pretty impracticle for me to fix a lrage, from scratch meal that is only going to be eaten by me. Once in a while though I do get a little ambitious and fix a 3 or 4 course meal, freeze most of it in portions for the week and eat a little myself that night.

hi, It is good to relay on homemade food than canned/fast food. Though we know that still due to lack of time people generally prefer canned/fast food. Now-a-days most of the teenager also relay on fast food which is not healthy.I too mostly try to eat homemade food which is sometimes boring to eat then i prefer fast/canned food.

I do some home cooking and some store bought or canned stuff. I will also sometimes take the kids out for fast food. It really depends on my mood and what kind of time we have to get dinner ready.

We have done all of the above. Sometimes we just have a taste for something. We do alot of homemade. If I had been your friend I would have tried the soup. I hope she did, and liked it. It sounds yummy.

My family always go for home made food.we rarely opt for canned food. only when we are in shopping or are very tired for making food. i think canned food is the main origin of bad health, weight problem and skin problem. the fresh and healthy food is only home made food. We don prefer canned food rather we like to have fresh vegetable, juice and fruits.

I try to eat only homemade or semi-homemade (like dry pasta mixes and stuff) food only. Aside from soup, I really don't like canned food- it just has a yucky after taste. And fast food is just too fattening and unhealthy. With making your own food, you can control how much fat, sodium and sugar goes in. ^-^
