Today Was Our 5th Anniversary...

...of the day we met on line. Two years ago we got married. I was at my Dad's place, on the night in question, for my grandpa's 85th birthday. Grandpa just celebrated his 90th birthday, and Hubby and I were there. Anyway, the night was great, it was wonderful to see everyone, but towards the end of the evening Dad was playing some music i really REALLY did not like (long story). I've never been a Rod Stewart fan. I just can't stand the sound of his voice. Anyway, I wanted to get out of there, and by that time I'd drunk the better part of a bottle of Dad's homemade wine. My Dad makes the B E S T homemade wine in the world, and it was not hard to drink a bit too much of it. So, I got sick of the music, and hardly able to stand up I crawled down the basement steps, and found my laptop, which I'd stashed in Dad's office. I logged onto a writing group of mine and found a few people on line, the man who would be my fugure husband, and two other group members. He was also a bit blitzed on Russian vodka, and my friends don't have to be drunk to be entertaining, although they probably had some too. haha Anyway, the four of us got going, and those two started egging Hubby and I on, and daring us to do all kinds of things. also, it was discovered that Hubby hated Rod Stewart, and he spoke Russian. I am such a sucker for a guy who can speak Russian. Well the rest is history, and it's now been five years. :) Tonight we celebrated by going out to the Greek Garden for dinner. He had a chicken dish, and I had a lamb dish. Then we had coffee and baklava for dessert, and we drank a lot. He had beer, I had wine, and we both had ouzo. Mmmm!!! I love Greek Ouzo. Then we came home and had some Slivovitz (Serbian plum brandy). I wonder how we're going to feel in the morning? Hey half a decade ago we were both a little drunk, might as well do the same tonight, eh? :)
