i do not yet have a baby though i attended the birthing process of my sister. it really feel good to the ears to hear the first cry of the babies, because it is twin. i like to hear babies crying whether they like to get feed or cry when they feel sick. i love babies smell and they are so cute looking so innocent adorable like darling angels to my eyes. well, goodluck to your plan to have a baby though i also plan to have one maybe in the future or else just adopt other baby to have a companion.

Hi Amyson,
it was the tiniest and sweetest voice i ever heard in my entire life. i cried -- a happy tears. i know i am a certified mom. I have a baby of my own and he's out ready to face the real world. i gave him a kiss and a soft touch when the doctor showed me his face as she put him on my chest! it was so lovely. i love that moment!

There's no such word how to explain my feelings in hearing the first cry of my baby. It was so hard at the time of labor. When I delivered my baby and heared her first cry, my reaction was looking where the cry came from, when I saw my baby my heart was overwhelming its a mix emotion I wanted to cry because of the joy I felt and then when the doctor put my baby above my stomach I just cant say anything but to stare at her. All the pain that causes of delivering her was lost and was changed into joy.

It is almost too hard to explain. It is the slap of reality, the kiss of grace and the explosion of love all wrapped into one mini moment of time.

hi amyson,it's a mixture of everything. i remember when i had my first baby, i was scared because i did not hear him cry so i said "is he alive?"...it was after he was given a vaccine shot(i forgot the vaccine, it's supposed to be given right away after birth) then he cried. i felt relieved and happy to hear my baby cry. it's like a music that you'd always wanting to hear. it brought me so much joy and happiness. it was very overwhelming and you just cannot forget.

well, i was partially sedated when I delivered my son. I do know what's happening to me but quite weak, so all the time I was giving birth I tried my best to focus not to exhaust the baby inside and deliver him outside my womb as fast as I can. So when he was already delivered, I dont instantly heard his voice coz his mouth has to be cleared first with things that they swallow when they are inside the mother. after few second, I finally heard him cry. To tell you honestly, I got to breath because in that way, I got to know he's ok. the moment I saw him, it made me very much complete. The first time I saw him, I already saw the most beautiful gift or person God gave to me. I get to say hi to the child I have been talking with for 9 months. and it just made me feel great and happy. it's really indescribable. Up to this moment, whenever I look to his face, when he smile, when he's sleeping, I still feel the joy God gave me when he came.

Hello Amy, it is a feeling that can not be explained, the Love and warmth that goes through you for this Child, the Relief that you heard it cry, you know it will be ok, the urge to hold the little Bundle close to you, it is the best feeling ever actually there is one feeling that is better, when they put your Baby in your Arms and you hold it for the first time and then for ever
I felt the same with both of mine

It is an emotional moment! After all of the pain that you go through, as soon as you hear the baby and see and touch it, all that pain is forgotten.
When you first get pregnant and go to the Dr. and hear the little heartbeat on the monitor, it always made me want to cry and hyperventilate, it is very emotional, that is just a hint in the beginning of how you will feel when you hear a little one cry for the first time.

Hi there. Just wanted to share my experience of watching my wife deliver our baby at the labour room. I am fortunate enough to have the chance of being at my wife's side when she gave birth to our first baby which happened 6 months ago. During the 'pushing' process, I got to see how the baby came out from my wife's. At first I saw the baby's head, then slowly the upper body and finally the doctor pulled out the baby. After that, the doctor put the baby which is still full of blood at my wife's tummy. At first, the baby didn't cry so the nurse put something into his mouth to make him cry. I was very happy and I feel mixed emotions running through my mind. I feel very proud as a father, happy that my wife and baby is safe and I cried as the baby cried even louder after that. There are many feelings in my mind at that moment. You can only feel it when you experience it. I hope you will be ready when the time comes. And don't forget to ask your husband to be by your side when the time comes. It really helps.

The first cry of my baby happened during the day when she was born. I was besides my wife when she's delivering her. Damn I was more nervous than her. Her cry is like a music to my ear. Knowing that I am now a real father makes me prud of myself and loved my family even better.

Hi amyson! Your question really reminds me a lot of things:the pains of delivery, the sweat full of my face, all of which make me feel scared. I spent more than two hours in delivery and finally exhausted, but my baby still in my body. I felt hopeless and want to cry. The docotor told me it was dangerous if my baby still saty in. ...........oh my god. So you can imagine the first cry form my baby means what to me.
Mothers really suffer a lot when give birth, but also receive the best gift of their life.
Happy my lotting.

When my first child was born, they gave be anesthesia and I was not aware of the exact arrival of my child. But just within little while, I regained my consciousness. When I opened my eyes, my child was being given bath in front of me and it was crying. I felt as though a pleasant tremor is taking over me and I could not believe that it is the same child that was in my stomach for 9 1/2 months. I longed for hugging my child to my heart immediately. It is after all our own blood and soul.

The cry tells you first off that baby is A-OK! I had to ask with my son as he was a c-sect and I kept asking why isn't he crying? why isn't he crying? I think it was because I thought he was "born" but they were still working on things? I dunno. But the whole process was scary IMO I was so freaked out.

amyson its hard to describe as its such a wonderful feeling asyou look at that little baby and count all the fingers and toes.so perfect and part of you and your husband. You are excited, elated and exhausted but you do not care. those little eyes looking upat you and that brush of fuzz on his head, those fingers that curl around yours. it is just amazing thats what it is, amazing.

My oldest daughter was about four weeks early, so throughout my labor I was very apprehensive. I didn't know if she was going to be okay and I didn't know if she was going to be whisked straight away to the NICU. I'm happy to tell you that six years, 11 months and 26 days ago she came out screaming. It was the most beautiful sound that I've ever heard. It proved to me then that carrying her truly was a gift.
Now, with my son there was some apprehension as well, he was full term and born on his due date but between my two children I'd suffered a miscarriage so I was a lot more bonded to my pregnancy with my son than with my daughter. The first time that I heard him cry was almost as joyful as that of my daughter.

With my first one, it took a while for her to cry . . . so we were very concerned for a moment there. But as soon as the doctors cleaned her out, she was crying and oh we were so relieved! She was our first, and oh it was so sweet. I couldn't wait to hold her. And then she didn't stop crying the entire night - hee hee.
I just had my second one. This time I had a c-section and was numb entirely from the neck down. I heard my baby cry right away, but I wasn't able to hold him as I had no control over my body . . . but I'm glad my husband was able to. He came to us early because of my health issues, so when we heard his cry, it was a sense of relief that he was healthy in that sense.
Best of luck when you become a mother!!
