I mean just dust not clean the entire room ,or do you do everything in one?.The reason I am asking is that I just took a look around my little room and I realised that there was dust everywhere and it was then that I was trying to remember when was the last time that I actually dusted. Now most people who know me and have seen my posts here will tell you that I dont have a routine when it comes to doing housework or should I say a schedule except for laundry because I have to do that every weekend. However even with my laundry I dont even have a schedule I just do in time for monday ,consequently its no surprise that my room has gathered so much dust ,there is dust on my desktop ,my telivison ,oh my ,it must have been atleast a month.
Anyway this has gone on for too long now so I am going to dust my room see you in a while, but before I go I must ask you ,how often do you dust ?and do you do it seperately from all other housework?

Hello my friend ronnyb Ji,
Dusting out is everyday affair for me.My maid-servant will broom and clean the floor alongwith washinguensils, but dusting out has to be done by me or any other member in the house on daily basis. This isroutine for me. House will look clean onlyafter dustingout on daily basis.
May God bless You and have a great time.

I don't think men ever get real comfotable w/house cleaning altho my friend across the cove says her husband does a better job than she does. I'm enjoying my sunday. I was worn out from thanksgiving. Cooking big dinners are not as easy for me as they use to be, lol. Getting old is so much fun.

Hi, ronnyb. I don't have any furniture to dust. I have an air bed which would not require dusting. If I did have furniture, I would dust every week. And I would do it seperately away from my normal cleaning routine. I do plan to dust around my window sills. That is where dust tends to gather too. I just moved into my new apartment. So, there isn't much that I would have to dust right now, except for the window sills.

I hate dusting too, it takes so long and the dust seems to come back within minutes especially on black furniture! I dust every week but I only do half of the house one week and the other half the next week because it takes way too long to do the whole house all at once. Housework is a thankless task and it is never quite finished; that’s something I had to accept in order to stop driving myself crazy! Dusting and vacuuming are worse than cleaning the toilet in my opinion!

I try to do it at least once per week or when I do get the chance to. When I clean up I do one room at a time. This means I sweep, dust, clean straighten up there before I move on to the next room. Not all the time will I get to clean as thoroughly but I try as often as I can.

i and my father used to clean our house daily, every day we find dust.its mainly because we keep the windows open to get fresh air but through the open window dust comes in every day. that's not a big problem as we clean the house daily.

Hi, kaarthick. We do it alike. We really need to dust everyday because if we don't, I think we can already gather soil for the garden, lol. Our windows are wide and we need to open them during daytime to allow air to come inside. The problem would be that dust come with the air and wind. We use vacuum cleaners for areas which are too difficult to dust manually.

Dusting is one of the household chores that I absolutely avoid…actually doing household chores stresses me out but dusting is one of my major dislikes. And to top it all, I stay on the road side so you can well imagine the kind of dust we get. I don’t have a routine really, coz it takes a lot of time and if you have to clean out all the nooks and corners, it might take you almost half the day with no other work done! I pick up my duster only when I feel that I really cant take anymore….the furniture and computer and TV screen and the mirrors all have more than a patina of dust and I can actually draw my face on the TV screen LOL..before that I just walk around with eyes shut

I don't dust that often either and I know I should, if you seen my house the way it looks and everything we have in it, you would wonder why I don't dust more often..lol. It seems like EVERYTHING collects dust, and I don't know where it comes from either. I do, do it separately from my regular housecleaning, I have to devote one day to just dust, and believe me it can take me all day if I don't watch it, thats when I think to myself, why don't you dust more often, so that way you wouldn't have to work so hard..haha.

This is a question that we as householders have to face and tackle from time to time.I do not like to do house every day. I do not think that I am the typical homemaker. I have friends who enjoy doing these things. I am an outsider person, however, I do dust but to have dust under control this has to be maintain so I usually have a household technician over the years. With bills and university payments for the children this has changed so I can only have a helper coming once a week to do extensive dusting.
In my case this cannot be separated from general tidying up although it is mostly dusting. I enjoy her coming so that the place can look great!. What I try to do is to maintain what she has done until the following week when she returns.
In your case I think it would be good to have someone help you because dusting helps to keep the furniture.

Hello ronnyb this is checkmail and am dusting mine room regularly at leas the PC, TV, fridge, sofa etc. and the whole hosue once in a week or two.Mine residence is at an height that too close to an road.So normally there is some traffic in morning and evenings and because of it a lot of smoke and dust is emmited and its gets in our house. So even dusted twice in a day its still there in the evening or night.I dust in the morning after mine breakfast and in the noon after mine Lunch.Yeah this is an seriuos pro as am having an vaccum cleaner but tis vibration is too much, so have to opt for an brrom and other stuffs to clean ou the dust.Else every sat or sunday we all dust the house and sweep it properly, to clean.Well can say also enjoy mine cleaning work, but is really tiresome.

I dont dust very often. Like you, I dont have a routine for dusting.
Consequently it accumulates, mostly on furniture, such as the cabinet, wall cupboard, edges of the lounge, etc. The main reason I dont like dusting is because I have to remove items to give it a proper dust. Items such as photos and ornamrents, and then put them all back. Sometimes I cheat, and just dust around them..
I bought one of those electric dusters a few months back. I quite like it. I spray furniture spray on it and let it whirl.

Dust is made up mostly of human skin cells. I try and get to it twice a month. I make it part of my other chores. I just can't get to it more often than that. I am allergic. It makes me sick.

I do not dust as often as I should but when I can not stand looking at the dust anymore I will definitely dust. I do not do all of the housework at the same time I might vaccuum one day and the next dust and then clean the kitchen and bathroom. It all depends on the mood I am in whether I do it like this or just do it all at once.

Dusting and sweeping come together. We do it daily, at least our house helper does. We feel it should be done daily because during this time of the year, it is so dry that dust just gathers every now and then. I have noticed dusting and sweeping during weekends that even if I am not done with the whole area, dust already gathers in the area where I dusted first. Dust is one of the causes of allergy, so we need to get rid of it.
