Sunday Traditions

Sundays have long been a day of traditions. For many, it is the day that you go to church, the family gets together for a home-cooked meal, watches football, takes naps, and many other things. The tradition that my family has is this: we go to church with the family, either go out to eat together or go to someone's house to eat, watch either the NASCAR race (although I'm not a huge fan) or the football game. Most often, we will end up taking a nap until time to go to church on Sunday night. Then it's home to watch some of our favorite television shows and of course, more football. Sunday is a day of relaxation, spending time with my family, and just enjoying the blessings that God has given me in this life! What are some of the things that have become Sunday traditions for you and your family?

On Sundays just relax and watch TV. We watch football if there is a game we want to see or we watch a movie or maybe a favorite drama. We do not take a nap or we will not be able to sleep at night. We go out for coffee with family and see friends there and talk about different things. Then we go back home and watch more TV until it is time to go to bed.

Sunday is a special day for us. It is one day we have always set to pay homage to God and we go to mass on that day. After that, my children and I (in the past, with the late husband and his relatives) eat at a restaurant. Then, we proceed to buy groceries for the coming week's supply. If there are unpaid electric and phone bills, we proceed to the mall where we can pay the bills. We sometimes go around the mall and buy something or watch a movie. After that, destination is home. That is practically what we do all Sundays of the year, lol.

Hi. Sunday is our rest day. No work allowed as much as possible. In the morning, my husband and I would normally go to a public park and jog for an hour or two. After that, we would eat breakfast together and read the Sunday broadsheet. We would prepare lunch together and take an afternoon nap. We normally hear the mass in the evening.
