Hi mylotters! I guess many of you would ask believer of who?
Yes, I don't want to elaborate more...I'm talking about "Jesus Christ!"
I know there are lots of religion out there...(any religion is welcome here) as long as you respect each others beliefs and principles, I don't want to debate but to understand each and everyone point of views. this is a freedom of speech...so if you are a believer of Christ can you tell me..why? or if not...why?
To tell you the truth, Jesus Christ is the one who saves us from eternal damnation..not only saves us from Hell but He is the Lord of all..means He is the son of God, the second person in the Godhead (Father, Son and the Spirit), He is not only a great teacher but also our bestfriend. some says he's only human but wait! yes He's 100% human but not only that he's 100% God. Imagine that! no one can fathom God. He's beyond description. He loves us so great that he died for our sins...
So...fellow believers..can you share your experience about your salvation and how God change your life? What's your testimony before you met Christ?

Hi becdmd, I think I believe in all gods! Just like we have a family here, there is a family of god there, as well. So like all roads lead to Rome, here all faiths lead to one goal, salvation. I am too insignificant a person to make any difference in god's realm. But I do think, everytime I am in a mess, all I have to do is call any name, and one of them will be around to pull me out of soup. :) At times, I do call Jesus as well. :) And he has not failed me. :) And I am not a Christian or a Catholic. :) Still he has not failed me. :) So I am ok with all gods. :)

I suggest can you call Jesus all the time..because he really won't fail you...if you learn to trust in Him and know Him more you will find your home. I even urge you to believe in just one God because there in only One and as you seek Him may you found the truth that will change your life forever. Godbless

Here I absolutely agree with you. One must have true belief in one god. Studying different religion always opens up your mind and gets you out of any possible superstition and fixed notions. But when it comes to faith, there should be one definite aim to follow and I do believe that its not dependent on the religion. No matter what religion you follow, have a 100% surrender to divinity. Only this has the ability to offer complete peace and relief.
Take care...

Hi vandana,
I have one objection. Do you think you are insignificant to your parents? I don't think you do. In the same way, you are very special to God, as you are his child. There is indeed no difference in God's realm. But there are differences in making prayers, difference in appearance, and that too is made by human beings. Can't blame them, they have taken the ones they liked the most. But that doesn't change anything. We may call Him by any names, to him we are all the same, irrespective of our religions, languages, countries etc. God will never fail you. Its impossible concept. Sometimes we, the imperfect human beings want to evaluate God's deeds with our very own imperfect perspectives. That's why we see him doing injustice to humans. But He is beyond every mundane obligations and limitations. I really liked your sincere belief in God. May god always be with you.
Take care....

Dear,
Officially I am Hindu... But I am a believer of all the religions. I have faith in Buddhism, Christianity, Islam etc etc. I don't know about scriptures of other religions, I haven't read many, but in our holy book "Gita" there it is specified in unequivocal words that people worshiping may Gods and beliefs are in reality following the same path of enlightenment, the path that takes to god. We fight for our faiths, and I think thats stupid. No religion is better than the others. If Jesus Christ was the Lord of all, Son of God, so was Buddha and so were others. We actually follow the same God. Its just that we see it in different viewpoints, whichever suits us the most. That's good. I mean, it doesnt really matter which faith you belong. If it gives you humane feelings, lets you surrender to divinity and lifts the obstacles that prevents you from showing kindness to all human beings, then I think it is a true religion, and it surely is the path of God.
A true follower never feels depressed or deserted. With a firm faith, you will always sense the presence of Him, and will surrender everything to Him and then let him choose whatever is best for you. He has made you, me and all. So he will surely take care of everything. So there is no need to feel unhappy or deserted. Lets make merry. This conception is the essence of any belief.
When you get deeper and deeper, even more deeper into the belief, you gradually come to know and understand that God is behind everything. Even when someone is hurting us, when we are facing the worst time, there must be something that God wishes us to do. He always has a plan for us. And just like our parents, he always seeks for our good. This very realization, brings peace, intermittent, eternal flow of peace and happiness inside you. God is an indestructible source of joy.
God bless you all
take care

thanks for the response getbiswa... you're right we all have diff. point of views...yup religion can't save you but your faith in God. A true follower is not exempted from trials or problems and he/she is not in a storm-proof life because we are all work in progress and God is testing our faith and character as we learn to surrender everything to Him. you have a lot of wisdom, thanks for the advice...by the way if you have time you can read also our bible (christian) turn to this scripture (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8,10, Romans 6;23) Thanks

Hi,
Thanks dear. But I don't think I am wise or something like that. Absolute wisdom, to my notion is the complete understanding that God is behind everything, and also a complete surrender to the hand of God. I haven't been able to do that yet. Alas!! How I wish I could do that, in every moment of my life. I've long wished to study Bible and Koran. But, unfortunately didn't got enough chance. I will certainly read them someday. Thanks once again, for the comment. I really appreciate it.
Take care..
God bless you....

Yes,Because its our duty to believe to all irrespective to the fact that, whether they believe on us or not? Sometimes it happens that after a certain period, with the power of our believe, a situation happens after which those people start believing us who didn't believe us.

I believe, we all have to just believe in ourselves, debating over or not debating over some religious matters or differentiating them aint seem to be any point..God is a just a word of belief which makes us meet eternity life.Makes us meet the peace of our soul within us.Nor we nor anyone can define god.

You can only find peace if you know who your God is. Telling someone about Jesus...really does makes sense or point because it is not me who will benefit but the one who will be reading this who need a God in their life that they will depend on...God is not forcing himself for you to know Him, he's just waiting for you to make the right decision if you will follow Him or not..it's still up to you because of your free will, God is only limited by your lack of faith. God is beyond description but He is not far from those who believe him

You make a lot of claims about this Jesus character, but you don't provide evidence for any of them.
Jesus might be YOUR best friend, but I've never met him.

Hello Becca. I myself is a believer of Christ. I was born with a religion. When I was still a small child, I could never really understand the importance of having a deeper communication and relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Maybe because I am still small and obviously don't have enough knowledge to understand and answer my own queries and doubts.
When I started to grow old, my desire to study the bible became strong. I started to read the bible everyday, until such time I figured out and answered some of my questions that still have not been answered when I was still small. I also figured out that when we read the bible, it is already like talking to God himself, what a great privilege! My attitude and point of view in life have totally changed when I found the word of God, just like with a snap of a finger. God is really good. Jesus traded His own life to save ours. I just cannot imagine such a good God who will do such thing for his people.
I also believe personally that salvation can be obtained by faith in Jesus Christ and with doing good works. It is really nice to know that God loves us and brings satisfaction to our heart. I always thank God for the good blessings that he bestowed upon me and my family. I cannot ask for anything as long as God is with me, my Savior, and Redeemer.
Nice topic Becca. I have always been enjoying responding to your discussion. Keep it up always and have a blessed day ahead of you.

Hi van! Thanks for the comment hehe...I appreciate your response...Good for you that now you understand about your salvation but I just want to share with you my point of view...yup bible reading is also one way of God speaking to you as you meditate on His words and by praying we can not only talk to God but also listen to Him. And Salvation is not by good works but by grace through faith in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-10), the good works is just the outward manifestation of being a believer...so it means that we don't need to earn good points to the Lord because it has been paid for as he said "it is finished". God's love is unfailing and so amazing...god be with you always. thanks.

I grew up without faith of any kind, I didn't go to church and I wasn't sure what I believed. But deep inside I felt like there was something there, that he was real and I was hungry to find out more. So, when I got married I investigated and found Christ. I won't go into what religion I am, only that I know Jesus is the son of God. He has been there for me during my darkest times of my abusive marriage and I know if it hadn't been for his love and my faith I would never have survived. I am divorce now and my faith hasn't wavered. He's walked with me through all the hard times, helped me when I was sick and comforted me when I was sad. He can help anyone if you believe and pray with your heart and you will feel his love.

Hi rosgill...Yup it's not really the religion that will save us but our relationship with Christ. He's the One who is in control of everything and our ever present help in times of trouble. If you;re hungry for more of God's love...Read His love letter for you..that is the Bible and also join a bible study group to know more of Him in your life. Godbless

Hi,
I attended private Catholic schools my whole life, and I do believe in God. There are, however, some things in the Catholic religion that I don't neccessaryily agree with and there are things in other religions that I do agree with. I consider myself a spiritual person and I have my own relationship with God. I don't think that going to church/temple/mass/etc. on a regular basis determines whether or not you're a good person or you're going to heaven/hell. I feel that how you live your life and how to treat others determines whether or not you're a good person. Do I believe in heaven/hell... I don't really know for sure. I don't really have any one set of beliefs. I do feel that there has to be something greater than us out there... whether or not you call it God is your personal choice.

Hi ryanne, thanks for the response...yup there is really Someone great out there...yes it's our choice if we will believe on Him or not because He gave us free will. But honestly we have no other option but to believe in Him because He's the One all you've got and all you need in life. I urge you to not further read the Bible(NIV) for you to know the truth!
