Two days earlier I got a phone call from my bro that he was stuck in the middle of The Thar Desert with a car without petrol on a road on which no vehicles used to go.
In fact that road was old one without any petrol station within 100 miles. Almost for two days my bro was stuck until he got lift from a truck driver which helped him by towing his car to the petrol station. When he was home I can see clearly how miserable it can be.
I want to know what you will do if you were in place of my bro.

hi harshmthakkar18 we lived in Arizona for several year s and we learned you never go out in to the desert without plenty of bottled water, something to protect your head, extra tires, fan belts, cell phone, extra food, and batteries for cell phone, and more extra water. also learn how deserts and how to survive for a few hours in the dry arid desert and do be sure you have enough water, and tire pump for changing tires. the life you save might well be your own. and a map,a good map, always have a good map.

Hatley, you are like me and prefer to be prepared for your environment. There are things that you carry when it is snowy and icy as well.

If I have a phone with me I would call a family member to come get me, and bring some fuel.

Aorry to hear this and I bet he was very dehydrated if he didnt have enough water with him.
Just how did a truck driver come along to get him
and Why didnt he call someone to get him he called you and let you know .
If I had a phone and stuck on an unused road I would be calling some one to bring me some gas!

Hello Harshmthakkar. I am so sorry your brother was stuck in the desert and glad that he made it out okay. The thing about the desert is if you get stuck there it is best to travel at night when it is cool. There are cactus that you can cut and have a little water. You can eat snakes if you get hungry. It is possible to live in the desert even without help. It can be dangerous too. I wouldn't go down a road that I knew wasn't traveled very much. But thank God someone did help your brother. It was only Gods blessings that saved him. What was he doing on that road?
