Seattle, Washington (CNN) -- Four sheriff's deputies were fatally shot Sunday in what police described as an ambush in a coffee shop near Seattle.
The Pierce County deputies were sitting in the coffee shop in Lakewood, Washington, before the start of their shifts, reading on their computers, when the shooting occurred, said Sheriff's Department spokesman Ed Troyer.
Lakewood is about 40 miles south of Seattle and 10 miles southwest of Tacoma.

That is really alarming. It sounds as if they have been stalked and their routine observed. I imagine it is awful on the community.
