Just now Madrid lost to Barcelona 0-1 with goal scored by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Madrid played counter attacking football with few chances. Ronaldo played but with no effects at all! Do you think Madrid deserve to lose? Do you think Madrid with an assembled team worth $250m should have played counter attack instead of attacking football?

I think both teams had wonderful chances to win the match. The miss from Benzema with an open goal beckoning and the one from Ronaldo with only the keeper to beat were real big ones for Real. For Barcelona, Messi messed a one on one with the keeper and it was only the tremendous strike from Zlatan which managed to sneak in. Real do look better than last year, but whether that improvement is work $250m is a very arguable point. I do not think they can win success by assembling the costliest crew. They need to gel together as a team and that will take sometime to happen.
Cheers!

I don't quite actually agree with you Ram. From what I saw, Madrid just don't have any idea on how they wanted to play. I used to like Villareal play and I hope Pellegrini brought his style of play into Madrid but I think it didn't work out. Buying Ronaldo is a mistake. Keeping Guti out of the frame is also a big mistake. Madrid needs a creative passer of the ball to feed the hungry Kaka and exploit the potential of Benzema.

Chelsea also kept a big part of their squad from last season and look at how Ancellotti have benefited from it. Looks like Chelsea are going to rule the Premiership again. As for Madrid, I really hope they can turn their fortunes around when the African Cup of Nations started coz thats when I expect Barca to slip up.

i always think that Real Madrid President always think instan.he want to be number one too and replace Barca position in several season and he do like someone never think. buy many expensive player but did not effective in team and made some disharmony in a current team. look whats he`s doing after he will be a Madrid Presiden, he buy Ronaldo, Kaka, Diarra, Alonso, Albiol, Arbeloa, Benzema but he kicked Sneijder (the hero in previous season), Huntelaar, Robben, etc. Gago, Ruudtje is rumoured want to be leave Madrid too.
So compared with Barca, they had succes to bring Zlatan even must exchange with Etoo but they can keep the harmony in current team and still had a same ambition and motivation, to be number one in Spanish League and Champions League.
so i think Barca is deserve to win even they had only spend lower budget fund than Madrid do.

Manchester City and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the situation of Guti at the moment. I wont be surprised if we see Guti in the premiership this coming January.

I agree with you. Selling Sneijder and Robben was a big mistake. Gago plays better than Lassana Diarra. They should have kept those players instead of selling them. Keeping those players could have provide Madrid with better substitutes and could chances of winning over Barca. Remember what Robben and Ruud did to Barca a couple years back? They were magnificent.

i think the loss is due to low of chemistry so in the long run we expect win but about performance of the player it is good and ronaldo do his best but we must know that ronaldo is coming from injury

Pellegrini should have kept Ronaldo on the bench and start with other players such as Benzema. After all, players coming back from injury surely cant perform 100%. Agree with me? Perhaps not. But I still believe Benzema should have started instead of Ronaldo.

i dont think madrid deserve to lose
madrid has many talented player
but they didnt play as a team like barca players
i think madrid need time to their player become one as a team
and its a big disaster if madrid didnt win any trophy this season

Despite all the problems concerning Madrid, I still have high hopes on Madrid winning something this season.

But I still hope that Madrid can win the Champions League this season. This si due to the fact that the finals is going to be played at the Bernabeu stadium.

I personally think Madrid played a good game against barca. its just that they didn't have any luck that day and barca had the slightest edge on them. Madrid just cant depend on their ace players called KAKA and Ronaldo only. They have a very strong midfield they lack the cutting edge when it comes to their defense and thats the reason why barca exploited them.

I think Madrid don't have any problems in defence and attack. Its just their midfield lack a bit of quality. A midfield who can create something out of nothing.

I think that both teams had good chances. Infact real madrid had more chances that barcelona and they played even better. With so much money spent you cant expect them to win all the 38 games. its just that it wasn't their day to win. they didn't have any luck. Still they are in the hunt for the title. They cant just rely on their big signings like Ronaldo and KAKA every time.

Of course they cannot rely to the big players but the big players are brought in to help them win all 38 games if possible. That is the ambition. Its not okay to say we cannot win all 38 games because big clubs always try to get to that kind of numbers. That is also the reason they spend big money. Otherwise there is no need to spend that amount of money.

I disagree if Madrid just relying on counterattacks against Barcelona, Madrid inhabited by good players, but why they should play just rely on counterattacks? it's a shame anything rubbing. I think this game Madrid deserved to lose, because that Madrid did not play like a star-studded team.
