Hi jobycit. Yes, I've written for AC for over two years now. When I first started one could actually get $8.00 or more per article, but now since so many write for that site they lessened their rate of pay. I was looking at your profile though,and noticed you were from India. Hate to say it but upfront payment for articles is only valid for US citizens...outside of the US one can only get performance payment, that is you earn through page views, and if you want a lot of them, I suggest you start reading other writers articles, add them as a favorite and to follow so you know when they have written an article...it's sort of a two way thing, you read and give comment to their articles and it will lead them to most likely make them read your articles Good luck!
