Is it worth writing at Today.com since they changed the earnings?

I've been thinking of joining Today.com for a while now, especially because the last time I looked it said that they paid $1 per post, which seemed pretty good to me. However, looking at the site today I can no longer find any mention of how much they are paying, and have seen information on other sites and old discussions on here that say they now pay per 1,000 page views. Which doesn't sound quite so good!
Does anyone know how much they pay now? Do you write there, and are you satisfied with how the site is now? Thanks!!

Hi Liquorice-
They now offer revenue sharing + views. I think you can make a lot more money this way vs. the old $1 per post. However, if you do decide to join, take your time in choosing a topic and name for your blog as there are limited headings.
I was denied the first two times I tried to join.
Best of Luck!!

Hmm, that's an interesting response after the negative ones. Do you really think it's possible to earn more this way than getting a guaranteed $1-per-post? Have you experienced this? If so then that sounds a bit encouraging, at least!
Is it true that you have to write every day without fail, or you get earnings taken away? As the site isn't very clear about its terms then it's difficult to know whether to trust it or not, and what to believe about the things we hear about the site.
Thanks for the advice about choosing a topic. It's tough that they seem to deny blog headings so easily.

I don't write for them, but I did hear at one time they paid that amount. I think they no longer pay that much.

Thanks moneymommy. Hmm, it's annoying when sites change their terms like this. I was sad to find that it was no longer true. Guess the recession is hitting everyone. :o/

I have been a Today.com blogger for about a year. I started at $1.00 a post, but then they downgraded me. I don't know why. I asked them and they were not specific. I like to write there still sometimes because you can't ever have bad publicity (unless you're Lindsey Lohan and running around naked on the beach or whatever crazy thing she's done this week). I figure maybe I'll help someone. Also, I do still earn a few cents per post. One day all those few cents will add up and I will unexpectedly get $50.00 in my Paypal account.

I used to write for today.com but gave up on them since they only pay you by points. But they don't tell you how much you get for points so I don't even bother. I would rather concentrate on writing at other sites that do pay for sure such as at demand studios but for now, am getting cold feet to write more for DS since I have 5 rejected articles. I did however made $60 last month which helped me to make more than a hundred though.

Wow its the first that I am hearing about today.com adn so I will check them out howevr the the one dallar per post sounds really good almost too good to be true.On the other hand per 100 views sounds like you would be depending on other people too much .I guess no matter how hard it is at mylot ,it is still harder elsewhere
